The ambiance is exhilarating. The staff are friendly, helpful and very efficient. This is hands down the best Hot Pot restaurant in the Scarborough area. Great service throughout our visit. Highly recommended.
This place is not AYCE hotpot but the quality of the meat is exceptional. We ordered double flavor soup, pork bone soup and spicy soup. The staff are very attentive. great place.
Shu Kingdom General Hotpot is an authentic Sichuan hotpot that specializing in fresh, high-quality Beef with a Bashu culture. This is the hotpot for ROYALTY✨. With 150 locations operating across 60 cities in China, they are now opening their first location in North America.Friends, this isn’t your typical hotpot place. They bring the theme of a kingdom into their food presentation and the interior design???. As you can see, the restaurant filled with red lantern?, ancient Chinese decor & artwork, and wooden statue. The soup came in a big bronze pot with dragon heads handles? and the bashu combo also served in a boat with a dry ice coming out from it. Do not think twice to go here! Amazing decor, service, food, and atmosphere. Even though it isn't all you can eat, it's affordable and more than enough food. Officially one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. What an amazing experience! Also, food is served in amazing platters that are very artistic and unique. Definitely definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!
Amazing service! The food was very fresh and nicely sliced. The broth are great. The meat is very tender and flavourful without and without dipping sauce. It’s worth the experience.
Environment is great. The meat on the plate display is a fun gimmick but hotpot wise it’s average. The place is clean and airy. It’s great for families.
Beautiful spot. This is not an all you can eat hot pot, so we expect the meat to be higher quality and this place delivered. Servers are super friendly and helpful. The vibe of this place is incredible and the design is eye catching. Food was delicious, I truly enjoyed their signature rib eye slices, their shrimp is fresh and tasty. Ordering via your phone makes things much easier especially for groups. Will definitely come here again! Highly recommended
I found this place by mistake and I'm so glad I did. This place is so bomb!!!The decor is so cute and it is not your regular all-you-can-eat hotpot. You order by plate and the presentation of the beef rib-eye is so cool. The staffs are all very friendly. You order on the phone through the scan code. The meat and everything are so fresh. I highly recommend this place!
Walking into Shu Kingdom General Hot Pot one of the first things that you may notice is the decor! The place is furnished with traditional Chinese themed decor and there’s red lanterns all over the ceiling. To the side there’s small booths set up for 2-4 people seating and at the back there’s some private dining rooms.Once you’re seated at your table, there’s a QR code that you can scan to order through your phone. Selection is pretty good, lots of food selection and non alcoholic beverages. They currently do not serve alcohol since they don’t have a liquor license. The food was delicious, and very aesthetically pleasing. One of the most popular dishes that almost every table ordered was the fresh sliced beef, which came displayed on a plate and stand, almost like a work of art. The fortune bags were super cute and yummy, I was tempted to order a second plate. The broth was great as well, the spicy soup was spicier than we thought, even though we picked mild, so definitely only order that broth if you have a good spice tolerance. The tomato broth was sweet and pork broth was flavourful. The lamb brain we ordered was more of a dare. My girlfriend and I cooked it in the spicy broth and then drenched it in the dipping sauce we made (there’s a self serve station where you can make your own hot pot dipping sauce). The taste of the lamb brain was pretty mild and took up the flavour of whatever sauce you put it in, slightly gamy but spicy sauce mask it well. Texture was soft and squishy.Overall a really great meal! I would definitely come back for the decor and food. Price wasn’t too bad either, we were 4 people and the bill came up to $180 in total.Protip: load the menu directly from their website on your phone for cooking times for every item. Lamb brain is 8 mins.
Went to this "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" Han Dynasty theme hot pot during their Grand Opening period. Atmosphere and renovation are fantastic. It is À la carte hot pot, not ordinary "All you can eat" hot pot. Server/staffs are nice and friendly. We had reserved seats ahead of time, walk-in can be a bit of a wait. The beef are very fresh and presentation of the food are awesome, and has other cultural dishes that sync with the Three Kingdoms theme.Vegetable order size is very small in portion, hope they can adjust it in future. Some of our 2nd round and 3rd round orders partially didn't come, but they came at the end all together in 4th round or so. The sauce bar can be a little bigger. Wish to have individual pot option as well. Overall 4 stars!!!!
