My husband and I brought our sons here on a whim after a trip to the zoo got canceled and we were pleasantly surprised. The man who took our order and cooked our food (I'm assuming Paul) was friendly and made really tasty food. It was nicely prepared and was reasonably priced (and he serves generous portions). He was patient with our sons when they chatted him up, despite being busy, and he engaged asking if we were from the area. We've already told family that if they're ever in the area, to stop by and grab a meal. I know when we reschedule our trip to the zoo, we'll be stopping by Paul's first.

Stopped here on the way home from the zoo! A good little 'greasy spoon' spot, the owner was by himself and still managed to feed the crew in good time. ? friendly atmosphere and good value. I'd recommend the Grilled Chicken sandwich and the Greek salad!
I grew up eating Paul’s food, from when he was Maple Gardens in the same plaza. Probably the best home burger I’ve ever had. Years and a move downtown later, I still make the trip out for this specifically. It’s a neighbourhood institution.
One of the BEST restaurant in Scarborough close to Pickering and definitely worth the drive .. I’ve been eating here for 15 years and Paul is an amazing cook and very nice man . The restaurant is always so clean and nice atmosphere . The food is 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My got to is Paul’s Cheese Burger and the best fries and gravy hands down
Small, inexpensive place for a delicious breakfast or lunch before heading to Toronto Zoo. Breafast was so big we shared! 5 minutes from zoo
I had the steak and eggs and it tasted good at great price too. The owner seemed like a very nice man as well. I will definitely return to try other menu items.
Positive eviews and distance from my home are what brought me here. That was about a year ago. Haven't been back but not to say I wouldn't. I want to support local business so badly but I just wasn't impressed in any way. Food quality was average. Prices average. Service was above average. Cleanliness was average. Score=average. 4 stars for being a small business and surviving!
Best food when you are at the Zoo. We left the zoo overpriced average food and drove 2 min to Paul. I had a great breakfast (super cheap) , wife had a great burger and kids had pancakes. Price cant be beat and its tasted fantastic , will visit again
Great food for cheap. wife is mean and your hours are bad please stay open to at least 6:30 since 6 is the most common time to eat.
