The worst customer service here , they only take cash , not even debit , The serve are all so rude , no hi , no thank you , one of server yell : what do you want ? how the owner keep these workers , never training? and today I order six sandwiches, used to have Cilantro all the time , a little bit in side it’s ok , today none, not even one leaf Cilantro, when I get home , I open it , so disappointed

If you're looking for a quick meal, this place has got you covered. They serve a variety of cold Vietnamese dishes and cold cuts, all ready to be heated up, eaten cold, or used at home. They're best known for their Vietnamese sub sandwiches (Banh Mi) , which they make infront of you very quickly. Sub range from ~$4-6 and are very affordable. I usually pick up a few and throw them in the fridge for a quick, easy, affordable, and delicious lunch at home.Admittedly, it's a very quick grab-and-go place and the Bahn Mis are not the best, but they are solid.

I visit this place about twice a year for some Banh Mi (I have appointments in the area every once in awhile). I always come here right after my appointments to bring home some Banh Mi; we've been coming here for several years. Prices have gone up (and reasonably so), but the quality remains the same! Will often eat as a snack, makes a nice to-go treat. Sometimes I save them for the next day to bring to work, and it's still delicious (just heat/toast it up a bit)!

Wish I could give this place a better rating but over the years, they've started skimping. Now the pickled carrots/radish is now 99% carrots which ruins it for me. Still a good place for sandwiches but disappointing.Don't expect 5 star service, it's a get in and get out sort of joint. Make sure you know what you want cause those ladies ain't got all day for you. It's gotten to the point that I prefer the T&T ones over theirs.

Not like how I remembered these banh mis to be from the downtown location.I know they have some pretty strong offerings of banh mis and still cannot beat the price. The pickled veggies were nicely done and the sausage had some. Ice flavour, but something that should be nostalgic just want there for me.However, they still pump out a ton of banh mis and for the price, if you’re looking for a quick snack, these would be perfect!Service is not what you’re gonna expect for a markham / Scarborough establishment, more of an old school Chinatown feel, so be prepared for that. They have a menu in English, and there might be a language barrier, but they know how to pump them out quick!Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!

The Steeles shop short changes you on the lemon grass sausage. They will cut the sausage for the sandwich, but won't give you the whole sausage. They keep back a portion of it. It has happen a number of times at this store location. I asked about it and was shown there was enough sausage in the bun, unfortunately spread apart. I've been to the Vaughan and Spadina shops and they give you the entire sausage. Something amiss having just shredded carrots with no daikon in the sandwich. As an alternative, T and T makes their own cold Vietnamese sandwiches for a loonie more and it's bigger, more meat and with both veggies. It's worth a try !!

Nguyen Huong Foods has been a longtime GTA staple for Vietnamese eats! Whether it's their bahn mi sandwiches, dessert soups, and deli options, it's a small taste of the good stuff that you can always count on being fresh and full of flavour!Although the bahn mis are no longer $1.50 each, it still packs the same nostalgic flavours of the pickled carrots and daikon adding a hint of freshness to counter the liver pate and deli meats! The spring rolls are always packed with filling with the right amount of pork fat to add depth to the overall experience. The dessert soups are always refreshing and they have a variety to choose from based on your texture preference!Always bring cash to this spot!

Packaged prepared food quality is not bad, but you'll need to be familiar with Vietnamese food because packages are not labeled. Prices are reasonable.

The workers here are rude. Can at least be decent to customers. Don't need to say hi but when ordering something they don't need to be so rude. Language barrier is not an excuse. My husband ordered 2 subs with pate first so it would be easier for thrm than to order 5 subs and tell them each one differently. The worker gave my husband attitude and said 'So how many subs do you want?' Can he not order 2 first than the rest? It was just him inside too. Not like there was a line up or anything. Plus he did it so it would be easier for her.Sure the viet buns are pretty good, but like another review said, they no longer put in white radish. Just a bunch of carrots. I've noticed they also cut back on the meat. But uptown there's pretty much nowhere else to get a decent viet bun.
