First of all, the women's bathroom was disgusting. The tables were dirty and we sat for 10 min, no one came to give us the menu so we walked over to ask for one and the person said ok will bring it, yet no menu. Looks like they were under staffed but regardless, the place was very untidy!
Last week I tried in North York location, this week in scarborough. I like this place more because they have bigger space and wonderful decoration. Food is good however it is little price then other equivalent restaurants.
Very nice ,fresh and authentic food. We order family plater which is more than enough for family of four adult and one child. I like their Markham and Sheppard location.Interior is beautiful and refreshing.Staff is very friendly and cooperative. Must try it.
Great Afghan cuisine that we love! You get an absolutely 100 % satisfactory food and customer service quality that you crave while deciding the restaurant. Worth trying!Yuser ‘The face’ of the restaurantyou have the natural ability to understand and feel what your customers are experiencing, and you are able to meet their needs effectively. You get a WOW for creating a wow moment for us!Thank you for making our visit the best every time!
I can understand that prices have gone up for everything including food. Which is the case here at naan kabab but also portion size is reduced.I'm no chef but I know good food when I eat it. ( we ordered large mantoos, 1 waziri classic , 1 waziri tandoori with upgraded kabli paloa and 1 beef tikka) That being said I didn't realize that with the portion being reduced and prices going up; the food quality has also gone way down. It was very disappointing that food had no flavor and spices!! ( don't get fooled by picture perfect plate attached)
Naan Kabob specializes in Afghan cultural food and on May 2 2022 we arrived as a family group comprising of 8 adults and 5 kids. We chose this Restaurant as a result of being referred by relatives. We placed orders of both individuals for kids and that of platter comprising of chicken, beef, kaboob, salad, rice, fries, naan bread. All the orders placed came out in timely manner except of the naan bread! Naan being their identity food, it came out when we completely finished our platter. No explanation nor apology given by the management. We were disappointed by this act. The employee's are not seen as enthusiastic towards customers and their work. I hope the management will take this criticism to improve their customer service and create a conducive environment for clients. In terms of cleanliness, no doubt about it the Restaurant is clean and all health regards are followed.
Food is lovely! This location is my favourite Markham but had bad experience/ customer service today. While starting to eat and settling down to have a good food and long conversation, a girl came by 8 ish pm and wanted to close this side of restaurant and I have to go on the other side of restaurant. unfortunately, couldn’t enjoy the food nor my friend got a good impression of this restaurant as a first timer. After a bitter talk, the girl responded… okay stay here but I am going to clean and sweep. ? this is rude, unpleasant and bad costumer service attitude.Travel, spend time, spend money, having a quiet and stress free conversation with friends and boom DON’T SET HERE MOVE AND EMPTY THIS AREA,,,,,,,EXCUSE ME…..
If you like Persian food you’ll enjoy Naan and Kabob (Afghani), which is a bit closer to Indian minus the spiciness. Tandoori, curry /stews and grilled meats…and rice. We ordered 2 eggplant borani that was tender and mild. The chef’s beef lover is similar ($23.50) to grilled special, except without rice or tandoori chicken. It had two tiny pizzas, naan, roasted tomato and 2 steak skewers. Qurma chicken will be preferred by people who like Indian flavours. Zara offered friendly advice and service. Parking is free on the North side of Sheppard in the corner facing a large Shoppers Drug Mart, popular for travellers between the GO station & Centennial College or hotel. Our total price was $50, which is 30% cheaper than eating /driving downtown. It’s also a better deal than eating at Stagshead in Travelodge or Best Western Plus at Markham Rd-Highway 401. Seating is plentiful, though there’s no party room—just a partitioned area away from the lineup/entry. Orders are prepaid only (takeout included). With a new Mississauga location, it looks like Naan and Kabob will have commuters in the city deliciously cornered!
That’s one of the brilliant Afghani restaurant which I have ever gone! The naan was very great. Also the chicken was well grilled and spices was very delicious. I would like to mention one of a great employee named Berna. She was very delighted and fabulous in customer service!’ She welcome with greeting and handle everything with a good effort. ?
Second time dining here with my family, I had a similar experience both times; absolutely DELICIOUS food, fresh, and arrived quickly. The service is also outstanding. The staff here are very attentive and kind. Restaurant itself is clean and has a nice dining area. Will be back!
