Tried My Place for the first time based on many positive reviews and was a good experience overall. Ordered the haddock and it was a large piece, very crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, fresh and not greasy. The fish could use a little more seasoning.Service was excellent.Among the typical fish & chip shops, this was one of the best ones I’ve tried so far. However nothing can still beat the Olde York Fish & Chips in Toronto. I’ll be back as the location is convenient, food quality is good and service is excellent.
Happened to stumble on this place by accident because the place we initially wanted to go to was closed, and GLAD we came here. Food is EXCELLENT. Serving size for the haddock platter is excellent. The customer service is also friendly and kind. New fave fish and chips place. The batter is tempura style so even though you eat so much, it feels light.
Honestly, the cheapest and best value for fish and chips in town, with their grouper and chips for under 9 bucks! Super friendly staff, and a very old-fashionef quaint feel to the restaurant. This is a family business that has been around for over 20 years - so it's really nice to show them some support too.The gravy is really nice here and goes well with the chips, but I wouldn't recommend the calamari rings - you're better off with the Costco versions. Other than that, it's a nice place!!

This is the right place for Fish and chips lovers. I've ordered for my family and kids, they loved it. Personally I love how tasty and crunchy it is.
This was my first time trying My place Fish and Chips and I must say I am really impressed. I got the Haddock and chips with a side onion rings. The piece of fish was fresh and not overly oily ( big portion). The chips were very tasty ( the meal came with more fries just not shown in this picture) ? overall, I am very happy with the quality, quantity, and experience at My place. The owner and cook were pleasant :) I will certainly be back !

First time at this Place. Place really needs an upgrade, along with the dusty towels hanging on the walls. I understand why people forgive the decor, as the food is brilliant. The fish coating is perfect. The food just melts in your mouth. Will definately return. Cheers!

Quaint little restaurant with tasty food. The service was good, and I would likely order from here again. However, we found it odd that the Halibut platter which includes one piece of halibut, chips, 2 scallops, and 4 shrimp (we also ended up with 2 clam strips each as well) did not come with a coleslaw, but the next menu item down which was just Halibut and chips did come with a coleslaw. Not the biggest issue, but what's fish n chips without coleslaw?? Overall, a good meal.
