Saw a review on TikTok and decided to try it out. So glad I did. It was delicious! The mutton rolls were meaty and full of flavour. Definitely will try again.
Used to love their mutton kothu and mutton rolls, unfortunately as they became more popular, their service has gotten worse and worse. I used call in and make fish cutlet orders, requested it be ready at a specific time. When I arrived for pickup, I was told I "needed to wait in line, just like everyone else". I was on my way to a party so the order was a larger quantity, hence the phone order ahead of time. I just called and asked to place an order 30 mutton rolls, for a specific time today. The lady on the phone told me rolls are an over the counter item, to which I said I'm ordering a large quantity, can I not place an order for pickup? Her response was "if you need something, you need to come wait in line for it" that was the end of that conversation, and the last time I order anything from this place.
Martin's bakery used to be a place where my parents and I would go when we're in the area. The food was amazing but my whole family has decided never to set foot in there again. The customer service is horrible and not worth it at all. The people who work there would yell at customers and tell them to go somewhere else if they can't wait or if the order isn't right. The people who work there are very disrespectful, I understand it's stressful especially on busy days but that's the case for most restaurants and they don't treat their customers like you.
Legendary place. Mutton rolls are soft and the filling is perfect with chewy mutton pieces.Their bread loaves are the definition of home made bread, puts Wonder bread and Weston to shame.Kothu roti here is renowned.There’s usually a line up at this place. So that should tell you all you need to know.
I was very tired trying on food on Toronto as I can’t find any good food anymore.But then I tried the cutlet and mutton roll from here and I loved it! I loved the cutlet more though!! Hopefully the quality stays the same until my next visit!
The mutton rolls were really good, they fill them with lots of meat and the dough is nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.The kothu roti was good as well, packed with lots of meat and the service was really quick compared to other places.Prices were cheap as well.
Martin Bakery was known for their food and service back in the days. Now I don't even know if this restaurant will last. First of all the customer service is horrible. Line ups are crazy, they don't go one customer at a time, they ask everyone what they want and make everyone wait. You pay for fish patty they give you veggie patty. On top of all this I order kothu roti only to find a long hair in it. I felt grossed out and threw it all out. Never again I will step foot into this restaurant.
This is the 3rd time i have ordered veggie patties and they have given me fish instead. Really annoying to have discovered this only after driving back home.Maybe a suggestion is not to have the fish and veggie patties next to each other so this is not a problem moving forward. If this is happening to me, i am sure it is happening to a number of people ordering after me.
Best mutton rolls out there, as well as there other short eats. Mutton kothu is really on point with the meat/roti/egg ratio. And they actually add extra gravy when you ask. Only issue is they are always busy and don’t take in phone orders on weekends. But that’s out of anyones control because thats how much in demeand they are.
I love the kothu rotti. Thanks thatha for making delicious kothu ? The food is delicious ! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place.
