Last Saturday night, I ordered a 6 oz. New York Striploin, medium w/fries and a side order of garlic bread. Overall, the steak was decently good. Fries were crisp, cooked well and the garlic bread was soft and delicious. Steak was $21.99. The diner table I sat in was decently clean.
We went for breakfast and ordered the Early Train special for $8.99. It’s from 7-11am. But they serve breakfast all day and the restaurant is open 24 hours. The early train comes with 3 eggs, 4 bacon, home fries and 3 slices of toast. You can get ham or sausage and instead of home fries you can get French fries or rice. The restaurant is huge with lots of seating. The food was good and the server was very friendly. This restaurant has been around for years and it’s a great place to get together for friends or family.
Very disappointed ☹️ with food quality and service, the waiters are just wants the best rate of tips but not functioning well, potatoes were not cooked well was half raw inside, and the eggs burned, stake was dried was like a cardboard, common your charging market rate for all your servings but why not deliver good quality of food ?? there was not pleasant welcoming we waited too long to get our food meanwhile there are no interaction between waiters and us ..! French toast came at the end just before I pay for the food and the waiter was telling me “it’s ok you can take home I’ll bring a box” ? because he forgot my order, no maple syrup on the table no butter no jam totally upset and my appetite is already gone by the time they served me, I understand it’s a busy spot but same time your service and servings has to be good and quality.
Although she didn’t wear a mask, our server was nice.Refilled our drinks without askingAdvised us that we wouldn’t be able to finish this platter and not to order anything else - which was very trueI’d prefer if the servers wore masks while handling food.Chicken fingers were moist with a crunch ❤️❤️Popcorn shrimp was just as I remembered ❤️Mozzarella sticks were OK❤️ Wings were dry?Potato skins even more dry??Carrots and celery were room temp and soft ???
I’m happy to be reviewer 3074…great experience here and I drove across the city to meet with some friends who have raved about this place for years. The interaction with the staff was fantastic, very enthusiastic and genuinely happy to have us. I know it’s breakfast but it was flawless. Will definitely return. Management should be recognized for running such an amazing place considering the labor pressures at the moment, your staff made this a great experience.
I had a great breakfast here.I had the breakfast special, which was three eggs, bacon, home fries, and two pieces of toast. ($8.99 which has gone up, but understandable with the cost of groceries and fuel prices)The place is clean, the service is excellent and friendly, and the prices are reasonable.
Another long time favourite, I've probably been coming here on and off for the better part of 20+ years now, and at least 1 waitress is still there! They've been able to still maintain a really reasonably priced menu and open super late for those after party bites.Best of all, the food is actually quite good and comforting.Typical go to items include: appetizer platters, all day breakfast, and fajitas!I give them 8.5/10!
Excellent Service, variety of items, family and kid friendly, busy but acceptable wait time. A huge shout out to our Server - Nicki - Thanks for you friendly behaviour throughout our stay.
First visit was on Shrove Tuesday and I found the pancakes thick and dry. Second visit was about a week later and I order the hot turkey sandwich and instead of plentiful turkey it was the commercial thin slices that had been microwaved and thus the bread under it was hard all around the edge. The atmosphere is OK but noisy. Service has been excellent and the prices are OK. People I have been with have made better food choices - the club sandwich one person had was raved about and looked excellent
I visited this place after suggestion from my wife. Place was packed with people for weekend brunch. Being a Halal preferred food I found place was limited with veg options. I tried pancake and cream cheese bagels. Pancake gave a feeling of being frozen, heavy and chewy. Bagel was not toasted properly. There was unlimited coffee that was one perk. Beside that I will give it as one time visit experience.
