My god, my friend said this place was good and I ordered today. First thing, where are the veggies in the shawarma bro? Second, why so much sauce? Like the meat and rice were just swimming in the sauce. Third, the meat was bad, straight up. I’m writing this review after going to the washroom twice in the last 30 mins. Not gonna go here anymore.
I go to different Lazeez locations all the time and the food was just as good here but the service was absolutely brutal and the storefront looked like it was falling apart with damaged and sticky floors that could be a serious trying hazard. I voiced my concern about the bottle of Pepsi they sold me that wasn't sealed correctly and went flat, I was told that it wasn't their problem and to call Pepsi... He refused to replace it and said I can pay for another so I just left the Pepsi with them and walked out. Avoid this place at all costs as the management is clearly confused, repair your hazardous restaurant and learn customer service skills...
Love lazeez shawarma. But this location, owner does not follow seem to be following protocols himself. Paid $10 for a bad shawarma. Rip off.
Owner was making shawarma with out gloves and putting all vegetables .when he saw me he asked me to sit down and he can make nasty shawarma for me I just walked out . .Lazeez shawarma this kind of franchises making your name bad. .very rude person and service.
Do not go here if you're a mixed race couple. The server shouted at me and my date to move aswe were looking at the vegetable’s and fillings (she's white and I'm brown) with just us around the area right after we had ordered our shawarmas. I told him we were still looking but he scared my date.As we were waiting for the shawarmas, we werelaughing and joking and the workers kept giving usdirty looks and were cussing us in Urdu.To top it off, after leaving, we went to eat ourshawarmas in the car and on hers it said "baby girl"and on mine it said "boy”Both of us hadn’t eaten all day and they were not good shawarmas?I think the fellas got excited that they saw a realwoman instead of a goat
Horrible customers service. Food quality was garbage. chicken was lacking in proportion. Way too over priced. They asked to pay cash and including tax but did not give official receipt. Don’t waste your time and money in this branch location at Kennedy.
if it were possible I would put 0 stars. when i got my order, everything was wrong. I tried calling to figure out what happened and they HUNG UP ON MY FACE TWICE, VERY TERRIABLE SERVICE ESPICALLY THE MANAGER. he was very disrespectful and even hung up on my face the 3rd time and stopped answering my calls when I called back. DONT ORDER FROM HERE.
Staff wasn’t wearing masks or any face covering, which was ironic because they have posters up that say “face coverings are required in this space”. I am vegan and they seemed unwilling to answer questions I had about the ingredients in their food. I had to ask the man 3 times for him to finally admit there is chicken stock in the rice. He at first just said they only cooked it with oil… and after I asked two more times, “is there chicken stock?” Then he admitted “yes, there’s chicken base.” Anyway, ended up ordering the falafel platter with a salad and fries and the falafel they use isn’t fresh, and looks like the frozen ones I usually buy from Costco. The layout of the restaurant was very strange with the shawarma place being at the very back of this large space that supposedly had a juice bar in the front. Everything looked dingy. The whole experience was uncomfortable and weird, and food was very mediocre.
tl;dr - Not all Lazeez are created equal, and this one is pretty bad. Don't go here.I went here after going to Lazeez at Don Mills and Steeles thinking it was going to be the same, turns out the quality control between franchises are non existent. I bought a medium Lazeez on the rocks. Here, the rice was mushy and not very hot, frankly tasted quite bad, and that's saying something because I like rice period. The chicken was dry, and the pieces were cut really small, which made it taste worse, they were almost shaved like pulled pork instead of Shawarma pieces.Portions are somewhat smaller than Lazeez on Don Mills/Steeles, about 30-40% less.
Not recommended. Not selling fresh meat. Staff is good but i ordered big shawarama and paid $12 dollars something and they gave me small usually at Lazeez for big they used 2 bread and made long one due to extra money and they used small bread and more salad and less chicken. think about the customer who is paying good money and what he is getting back in return.
