Authentic Bengali food which reminds you of dhaka restuarants ? The best dishes are bhuna khichuri and kacchi (unripe) biriyani. The staff are really friendly and the ambience is decent.

Great food and good service. Most of the dishes are authentic Bengali//Bangladeshi and the I actually come here for the Chitpoti and Fujka, THE best street food that’s hardly available anywhere. Highly recommended

It was our first visit to Kolapata, we had the Kacchi biriyani, grills, and puchka and bhuna beef. The Kacchi biriyani rice was very fluffy, with lovely tender pieces of lamb on the bone, the flavouring and textures were just right. The puchka was light and crispy on the outside with a very fresh, hot and flavoursome filling. All the grills and naan were very fresh too. The service was excellent, really nice to find an authentic Bengali restaurant in Whitechapel, we will definitely be visiting again.

Friendly atmosphere & delicious Bangladeshi foods. As a family, we always go there…specially for Fosca, Haleem, Lamb Biryani, Mixed Grill & Kacchi Biryani. This is an excellent place to enjoy Bangladeshi foods.

Great Bangladeshi Food. We always come for the Fuska. Delicious biriyani and mixed grill. Friendly service.

We went to eat here on a girls' night out. They charged for Kacchi Biriyani and then served a somewhat Tehari with mostly gristly sinewy pieces and chopped chunks of mutton fat. Kacchi tastes very flavourful and comes with a big piece of meat done to a turn. Tehari is done with small chunks of meat with fewer ingredients. What they served was neither Kacchi, nor Tehari. When we asked the manager, he said Kacchi Biriyani is too pricey to serve and we should be happy with this Tehari-ish thing in place of Kacchi Biriyani in London. It is quite an experience to see duplicity presented so brazenly.

I really enjoyed the wonderful food and it was like the sugar in my tea and they gave an extraordinary cuisine from eggs to fish and from pelau rice to salad. The taste of the dishes were and will be the most mouthwatering food I have ever tasted!??? Keep it up, Rohan

Genuinely the worst food I’ve put in my mouth. Everything from the frozen section with the fridge right next to our table. Entire family had stomach issues after eating this.

Three of us went. We had street food starters, but they were bland. However owner said he was experimenting with a new flattened meat steak starter which was lovely. The rest of the food was good solid Bangladeshi food, fried fish, potato bhorta…all great and comforting. Good value for money,

The customer service is constantly quick, fantastic ambience, very nice staff. Will visit here again when I am nearby.
