The food and service here are excellent! The employees are very friendly. They also got the best coconut water on earth. Tastes like the actual thing. The BBQ fried chicken is ?.
Went there with my wife we have a newborn so we had to go in one at a time watching the baby in the car. I asked about the menu and the older lady looked like she absolutely did not want to explain anything to me. I got a half answer so walked out so I could tell my wife and she went in to see the menu and had the same worse attitude.So I go back in because we really wanted to try the food and thankfully a younger lady comes and is extremely patient showing me EVERYTHING without being rude or impatient. Great, I order my food. Thank you young lady!!3-4 people behind me all get their food before me, finally my turn and they ring me up, $50 for 2 specials? Apparently ox tail and curry goat dont come with the specials?Maybe I genuinely misunderstood but the whole experience made me feel really unwelcome and cheated.I walked out but I would not recommend to anyone that hasn't been there before. You gotta be from round there or know what you're asking for if you know what I mean.Too bad it was really busy so the food must be good. Looked good too but not for me to try
Ordered BBQ jerk chicken combo for take out. Very flavourful & tasty. Prices are fair & service is fast. Will definitely be coming back here again.
Great traditional Jamaican style food, unfortunately there are no lunch menu specials which means you will most likely be paying over $10 no matter what dish you buy. I found no problem with the taste so 5 stars
My first time visiting. Wow! Great selection and beautiful friendly staff. Food was amazing. I tried the bbq chicken lunch special with rice n peas. The nice lady added some oxtail gravy and she snuck a piece of oxtail on there too. With some cucumber salad and coleslaw, I was in my happy place. Patty was also delicious. You guys made me over eat;) Thank you!
This place is always great. Very flavourful food. They have unique sides and huge variety for a caribean take out place which is amazing. Wish I had taken a picture of my food but ate it too fast. Their pepper sauce is great! Packs flavour and heat! Definitely would go back.

I been to many jerk chicken spots but is the BEST Jerk Chicken spot I ever been to! Their Jerk chicken and Oxtail are absolutely amazing! I wish they were also open on Sunday's because the cravings are real!!I gave it 4 stars because their ubereat's service is disappointing. They dont give you what you ask for or follow the instructions on the notes. They don't even give you your choice of 2 sides as you would if you went in person. I even called in to make sure if my Uber oder was prepared correctly but when I received it it was wrong.......go in person , don't order on ubereat's
Today,I was standing there, next to be served, for more than 20 mins. All the ladies behind the counter were cleaning the area, serving up the dishes for the delivery online company’s orders etc.Final one lady come to serve us. Then she walked right past me to ask the guy behind me, if he’s being served? And I’m standing right there in front of him waiting. I had to call to her and tell her that I’m not being served.I think that’s the last time I’ll be buying from Island Spice.Apparently they don’t need/want my business. The food is good but in Scarborough there are so many great West Indian restaurants for me to spend my money.
