Probably the best bang for your buck for a shawarma in Toronto
First of all this place confuses me, 2 for 1 shawarma doesn’t mean what they think it means ? spent 18$ for 2 shawarmas? Does that mean 1 shawarma cost 18$?. But anyways, shawarma was mid, kinda salty, fell apart real easily. Imo better shawarma spots in the area. 2 for 1 sign needs to go, that’s shady business smh.
Recently I frequent this place. Taste has improved a lot recently. The chicken in shawarma comes with spices on the chicken and it is very tasty! They serve generous portions of chicken.
I’m very very pleased. Ibrahim’s has always been a neighbourhood favourite of mine. I recently visited the restaurant after a year or so and it was even better than I remember. They were a little busy when I arrived, but my opportunity to order came at a good pace. When I ordered, I originally told the gentlemen “No sauces except for hummus.” He said no problem. I paid and looked over my shoulder and noticed he had put garlic sauce.I quickly notified him and he apologized, put the FULL plate aside and started making a brand new one as I requested no questions asked!!It was a little inconvenient, but the gentlemen’s kindness and lack of hesitation to start a new one really made me feel better. We’re human and with these masks/shields it can be hard to hear/listen to people, so it’s not about the mistakes hat are made, but more so how we handle the situation.Overall, the food was fantastic, huge portion sizes and extremely tasty in terms of flavour and most of all freshness.11/10 Experience. I will be making stops here more frequently now.
Got 2 plates of chicken platter. Very salty. Did I mention salty dried up meat? Toppings for veggies may have been rotten. Sauces felt diluted. Wasn't worth the trip. At least you know what you are getting at McDonalds. Here, all glitter and yet no gold.
During the dinner rush I went to Ibrahim because the lineup wasn't huge like the other places nearby. The mixed plate dinner was monstrously huge, good value, good flavour but not my favorite. Not much hummus, mostly strong garlic sauce. They use a very nice rice mixture but i didn't love how the salad was mixed in with it.A big plus is the lamb dinner or kebabs here, i will return to try the lamb and other interesting options.
Best shawarma as comfirmed by my family and friends. Theirs is hefty compared to others around. Clean and and spices are well proportioned. The prices have gone up but that's understandable. There's a lady there who's friendly. The shop is clean. If you come and there's a line, it's worth the wait. I love the lamb and tomatoes. I think I'll get some tomorrow :)
The best shawarma I ever had amazing food with great customer service it's a must go place
I have been going there since 2012 only had one or two issues. But their food is good
Worst thing ever happened got 2 hairs in my shawarma in 2 separate shawarma just absolutely disgustingBeen going to this place many many years over 12 yearsThe quality has slowly but surely degradedwhat i once considered the best shawarma spot in the GTA is no longer even trying to satisfy its customersBut simply reap the benefits of the customers loyalty and its past reputation
