Ordered mushroom fried rice, beef and green beans were too salty, Mongolian chicken was tasty and the seafood hot and sour soup was delish(couldn't even wait to click a photo)Only downfall is they don't offer steam rice with the entrees and they include 15% service charge on the bill- so be alert not to over tip!Would suggest this place for take out instead of dine in.
Worst experience and service.Came for birthday party dinner. Ordered 4 entree and all were not up to mark.Paneer Chilli gravy doesn’t have any gravy in it and Spicy Garlic gravy with Tofu doesn’t have any garlic taste. Hakka Noodles were properly cooked.In addition to this, server shut down all fans even when customers were still having dinner.Zero hospitality and worst taste ever for Chinese cuisine.
I love the filling chicken pakora and house special fried rice. It is said in menu as spicy but make sure to ask for mild if you cant take spicy. The only downside was the pad thai where the noodle was undercooked. The server was nice enough to let us change the dish. Anyway, pad thai isnt good to eat due to the sauce they used, please see the photo for your reference.
I’m really quite upset about my experience with his restaurant and particularly this location. I ordered a fairly larger meal consisting of a Bombay chicken, Spicy garlic chicken, two fried spicy calamari, pineapple chicken rice and Shanghai chicken noodles as well as a few drinks on the side. When I got the food delivered it was missing my drinks which upset me cause I had ordered for guests and now I had nothing to serve them. On top of that the calamari was soggy as it was fried in such a THICK layer of batter! No where on the distribution did it say it was it was battered. I found that to be extremely misleading as the photos lacked this as well. However, at the moment all I could deal with were my missing items.So I called the delivery driver and he informed me the restaurant didn’t even give him drinks. So I called the restaurant hoping to get it resolved. The man who answered really had no care about what I was asking for. I simply wanted my items so me and my guests could enjoy our food. He told me there’s nothing he can do as he didn’t handle my order. I told him no worries, can someone just bring me my drinks. He told me again no, instead that I indicate on the app I didn’t get it and then order again. ORDER AGAIN! Order again so I can be charged another delivery fee and more for a mistake made by your restaurant. I asked to speak with a manager, he told me there wasn’t one. (How convenient in the middle of the day no one was managing their staff) Now I was annoyed, he really didn’t care and just wanted me off the phone. So I said I’m really dissatisfied with the service I’m receiving. You know what he told me, he said if you’re dissatisfied then put a review, which is what I’m doing right now.I read the many reviews before mine and a majority of them said this place had great customer service and food. After this experience I will never buy from this place, they don’t care. All they want is your money. They’re nothing but deceivers and thief’s. I do not recommend you dine here.
#Halal Restaurant. Food is acceptable but not 5*. Like the fried rice and chicken items. Didn’t like the beef dish. Ohh , Thai Soup was really good. Will go again for thai soup. Environment was nice.
Flavourless food that tasted like water, and the server took it upon herself to add gratuity. Gratuity is a choice not something you can add on the bill without asking the customers. The gratuity is a problem at the Erin Mills Location as well and why I stopped dining there. I used to work in the service industry and never stiff people on tips but I don't like to be forced to tip. Done with the Hakka Legend franchise.
Excellent customer service, great clean environment, convenient location. We ordered dry okra, chilly chicken, Bollywood paneer, Bombay shrimp with veggie noodles. The spice level was perfect and every dish had its own distinct taste. Highly recommended for when you're looking for a higher ($$$) end Hakka restaurant.
Visited after a long time.Very disappointed. Food was below average quality. Don't mind the cost but the portions for each dish were very small. What bothered me the most was the hidden service charge on the bill. When asked, was told it was tip for waiters. Okay fine. Full respect to waiters.But why ask for tip again when paying?I have one simple rule. I avoid places that are dishonest and sneeky with clients and I give them one chance.
This was one of my favorite restaurants in Scarborough. Me and my family usually go every week for dinner since it is in our neighborhood. Food was tasty and fresh before pandemic. but now-a-days the taste are different and inconsistent and the cooking style is the worst. every dish we try , it's different than before. and then we started going to Ajax locations and they maintain their quality all the time. on the other hand, Markham and Ellesmere location needed to be maintained quality consistently.
Tasty Hakka food, flavourful, owner is friendly and actually is from Kolkuta, India like our family.
