Got the T40 Garlic Chicken Steak on Fried Rice. Comes with a soup and a drink.Service was very quick. Flavours were good and portions were generous. The iced tea is strong and has a hint of bitterness?? The soup is what you would find in a chinese restaurant and it was not oily. Lastly, the chicken steak was huge and was not fatty, which is more health conscious. The restaurant is relatively better than your typical chinese fast food takeout restaurant as you get higher quality ingredients for your money.However, wish they had more than just one piece of broccoli.Going to be back and try out their other popular dishes in the future!
This was my first time ordering from this place. Man! Food was really good. The lemon ice tea and milk tea were great as they are not too sweet. I would definitely order from it again.\\nPortion is big too. My mom and I barely made a dent. ??

Honestly, you cannot go wrong by visiting this place and getting the best bang for your buck! On the plus side, the food is GREAT… no wait it’s AWESOME. I usually get a repetitive order and mind you, its delicious every time its like ordering it for the first time and falling in love all over again. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to dine in their food court again! Also the hot n sour soup is a must with the lemon tea!! Absolutely keep going back!
This place is amazing! Honestly the staff responsible for the restaurant are so welcoming. I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years with my friends at lunch and the food is mouthwatering. They have super affordable prices for students and family alike. Huge thank you to the Great Fountain Family for feeding us over the last few years. Love finding cheap quality eats in Scarborough! Food is consistently delish and simple. Their menu is HUGE so I would suggest to take a peek at their instagram/TikTok page for some great recommendations! We love their baked porkchop dish, satay beef chow mein and classic garlic fried chicken over rice! Portion is great and it comes with Chinese soup and milk tea (Hot or cold) or their famous Cold lemon tea! (Can't go wrong with either!) Will definitely be back to try other things on their menu soon! Thank you for being our quick and easy go- to place!
Food is only okay and not the cheapest in the area. I’ve had better for less for sure. What is nice though is that the meal drinks are cold without having to pay a premium and the serving sizes are large. A baked porkchop rice had two large pieces of pork, but the white sauce was really starchy and grainy. The stir fried ho fun lacked wok hei and was a little soggy.

Always a pleasant experience getting food from Great Fountain, aside from the fact that I keep forgetting they close Mondays and we go there...Tried several dishes, including their Top 5 (pictures added of Top 5). Dishes are packed well with a good amount of toppings. Flavours are very nice. The complimentary soup and beverage are also tasty.
The positive aspect of this place is the fair price and extensive menu. You can pretty much find something that will suit you, like sandwiches and fries to more wok style stir fry dishes. The portion is also good and most of the menu items is paired with a complementary drink and soup.My concern comes from the quality of the ingredients, which impacts how the dishes tastes. For example, the chicken tastes gamy and still has cartilage attached, which makes each bite inconsistent.In my opinion, taste and quality is my priority. If I ever try some of the other items, I will update my review.Definitely order ahead as this place is often busy during lunch and dinner. Don’t let the name fool you.
