Ordered a chicken dinner, very tasty and portion is big. However, all the staff are not wearing masks and the cashier prep the food after handling cash without washing his hands. The wait was long too. Waited for 20 mins for a takeout on a weekday night at 11:00.P.S. CASH ONLY
The gyros are to die for. They are so good. Make sure you have a napkin when eating it. Very tasty and juicy. The only downside is that they only accept cash. Multiple times I go in and turn back around because I don’t have cash.
The rice is really good here but everything else was mediocre. The pork and chicken were very dry, the tzatziki wasn't very garlicky and the salad was only so so. The tomatoes in the salad were delicious but even the dressing was ok. Potatoes lacked flavour as well.
Good food well prepared the restaurant has been there forever for a reason
Esquire Restaurant Reviews, OILY BAG, OILY FOOD, this is been happening for many years and they don’t seem to care to fix the issue, if you experience health issues you may file a complaint with Toronto Public Health DineSafe
Haven’t been here in a while, the taste or chefs have changed. But surprised by the portion size has significantly reduced I guess after covid.
I would not come here to write about poor hygiene of the place if it was not for the fact that the tzatziki sauce in my order was missing (I found about that too late, when I got home, was a take out)They could use some air fresheners. Also one of the few places that take cash only and still charge taxes. Respectable tax virtues or just rip off? Not sure.
Been here a few times. The salad, potatoes and rice are rich and the chicken skewers is flavorful and tender. I believe for the price it could include more chicken or have the price lowered. Staff are friendly and there is a reason why they are successful. This place needs to have servers and make it a legitimate restaurant as then the price will be well worth it. Support local businesses.
Poor quality of service, understaffed (long wait times) and person preparing my food was wearing his mask below his nose. I haven’t even had the food and already my experience is sub par
Dirty place with staff not wearing masks. One of the food prep guys kept touching his facial hair before using the same hands to make a salad. Saw it and got out of there.
