I've been here twice now and can't see why they have so many excellent reviews. I got the chicken and duck leg on rice and was not too impressed. Duck was slightly warm and tasted ok, not terribly exciting. The chicken was dry and cold and to me, had a bit of funk to it. Overall the meat didn't taste fresh and hot. But the price was cheap compared to downtown.

While the owner is super friendly and nice, the duck was less than impressive, even though it was fresh from the oven. There wasn't a whole lot of meat on it and it was rather dry. I prefer BBQ duck from Mr. Congee in Richmond Hill.

Nice little place for Cantonese style BBQ items. I order a combination box of char Siu-bbq pork n the roast BB pork rice. The roast BBQ pork was good even though was cold since I come in late afternoon around three pm. The char Siu is just ok .a little bit thick n not tender enough. They try to nice n give you lot of ginger onion sauce on top of the rice buy honestly speaking I rather they put the sauce in small round container n let customers do it themselves.becsuse with the sauce I had difficult to really taste the original taste of BBQ pork n char Siu whick I came specially to try. Well at least there is table top counter for customer to eat there which is good. But since there is no air condition inside is kind of warm sit inside during summer but will be nice n warm for winter sit in but anyway most of their customers come for take out. Price are normal .mine with text is $10.5o something a huge box full of rice n meat. However they did not come with daily soup or a cold drink as all other BBQ place offer for done in so is up to you to chose n decide

Having read great reviews of this Scarborough institution, I was looking forward to a pleasant encounter. The parking here is a little tight but be patient and you will find one.Went in for lunch (1:15pm) and saw a small bar stool setup for in restaurant dining which is a big plus.Mike was busy in the back prepping the afternoon/ evening cook and was served by the assistant.I ordered my usual goto of BBQ Pork and duck and was provided for just under $10.00. There was no complimentary soup but that is unimportant as it's the BBQ I am there for.I opened the box to find a very fatty BBQ pork and leftover pieces of duck (neck and butt) combined to fill the box.I gave the benefit of the doubt and gave it a try and gave up after a few bites.I maybe a little biased after frequenting my regular York Region shops....

Just for takeout but the food is great and portion is generous. Definitely a great place if you want something quick and super filling!

One of the best spots in GTA for Chinese bbq. Incredibly friendly staff. Huge portion size for the rice dishes for the price. The crispy pork was my favourite with the perfect skin.

I ordered around 1.5lbs roast pork as well as half a roast duck in the morning. In total it costed around 31 cad. The staff was very friendly. The roast pork skin was very crispy, it retains its crispiness even after a few hours sitting in the take out box. It was not overly salty at all and the meat was very well marinated. The roast duck however was not as good as the pork. The skin wasn't crispy at all, it was actually soft, and I felt like it wasn't roasted enough or the duck was not roasted on the day leading to soft skin. However, the meat was marinated very well, not too salty, and the duck wasn't very fatty.Overall, I think the roast pork here is the highlight.

Finally tried this Chinese BBQ amongst all the others in the area. It is slightly pricier than the others but it does not disappoint. The roast pork has really crispy skin and the BBQ pork is super tender. I would also recommend the tofu. Highly recommend

Great food and amazing services. The stars here are the roast pork and roast duck. So flavourful and tender! Do note that the flavour profile here is more on the salty and briny side rather than sweet, which i really appreciate. Jack was very sweet and he always asked if you want to top up the vegetable (for free). Super reasonable price for the portion. You can check out the very nice Chinese pastry store next door as well.

I have been wanting to come here for a long time since I watched the Eater You Tube video during lockdown. First of all, as I was parking, there was a steady stream of folks entering and quickly exiting with their food.Make sure you bring cash because they don’t use machines here.I ordered chicken and pork and the other order was the 3 meat lunch (duck, pork and chicken). The portions are HUGE! We both could only deny a third of what was given. The meat was tender and flavourful and the stir fry cabbage that comes as the side dish helps break the saltiness of the green onion toppings. You want portion the green onion on top of the rice and meat and cabbage on your spoon so it won’t be so salty to eat. They didn’t disappoint. I will come back here when I need my hit of lechon or fried chicken. I took a flyer to order ahead of time.Oh, Jack and the lady whom I assume is his wife, are so friendly and nice. Come in with a smile and leave with a bigger one.
