Passing this restaurant many times and wondered what it would taste like, finally gave it a try and what a disappointment, small portion with a big price. Those pictures on menus are impressive, so it gave us a false impression. Definitely not coming back.
After viewing the photos that were posted, we decided to come try it out. We ordered the 5.5cm DM Chicken Set- 2 sides of chicken with your chosen spice level, salad, and either fries or sweet potato fries. However, it was a disappointment... the whole night me and my friends had to play "Where's the chicken?" as they were cut into very tiny pieces. In fact, everything was tiny- chicken, garnish, rice cake, except the price wasn't tiny. We paid nearly $45 (including tac + tips) for a plate for diced chicken. Taste wise, as we ordered sweet spicy, it lived up to its name except leaned towards the sweet side.Definitely will not come back. Not worth the price :(
The service was kind of difficult and the pricing a bit all over the place, but the DM chicken 7.5 platter was pretty good.
Crossed posted on IGTried out dmchickencanada with my sis?Ordered the 600g chicken platter that came with 2 bowls of rice, daily salads, cheese sauce, sweet potato fries(or potato fries, I just like the sweet potato fries better?).got the original flavour: sweet sauce mixed with carrots, garlic, rice cakes, onions, potatoes and chicken; felt like it was a bit too sweet for me but it wasn't bad. (It was too much for 2 person, especially since we ordered other sides?) also feel like the salad can do better mayhaps? Or maybe it was just plain simple salad day?I reaaaaally like the baked mussels with cheese and the Black chicken wings(It's really just squid inked lol) those wings looked like charcoal but tasted sooooo juicy!!! Definitely my fave out of this experience?
The presentation is unique and the food is decent. Although there are different flavors, the ingredients are pretty much the same.
Cheese fried chicken was disappointing where they only sprinkled some parmesan cheese on the top couple of pieces. The chicken itself was light and crispy though and not too oily. I may or may not be back to try their big chicken platter.
Got their spicy chicken, decent flavour and the fries were okay too. The mustard sauce was great
Cheesy chicken wings are the best here - consistently crispy and well made. Crunchy fries on the side as well ! Much prefer this place over the latest chicken plus where the fried chicken lack a certain crunch.
Very unique chicken wings flavors but noticeably greasy and just average tasting.
Chicken wing combo is 1000% worth it! For less than $15 you get more than enough wings and fries are included. The spicy wings were not too spicy and the cheesy wings had just the right amount of parm on them. The wings were also the crispiest breaded wings I’ve ever had. You can add a big bowl of rice for only $2. Only drawback was that there were no sauce options. Only came with a small container of ketchup.
