Daon Sushi is tucked in the very back corner of the plaza and it's quite a small space inside. It's run by a husband and wife duo who have figured out how to work together collaboratively and effectively. They're very sweet and it's fun to watch them work.We came here for dinner and tried the beef teriyaki bento and sashimi bento. The beef teriyaki was pan fried beef slices with a squeeze of teriyaki sauce over it so it wasn't very hot though the beef was tender. The sashimi bento came with mostly salmon sashimi with one slice of red tuna. It seems this spot primarily serves salmon for their sashimi/sushi combo dishes which isn't ideal for me since I prefer the variety. Our sashimi wasn't sliced very cleanly so a few of the slices were still connected to one another. Lastly, we got a cold spring roll with the sashimi bento which was super surprising but the owner was kind enough to replace it with 2 freshly fried (and hot!) spring rolls.Overall, this spot doesn't stand out but the prices are very fair, the owners are lovely, and if you love salmon sashimi this spot is worth visiting.

We ordered teriyaki combos but were pretty disappointed. The dishes were not Japanese cuisine, but appeared like the Chinese non-greasy version of blanched chicken and beef topped with teriyaki sauce. The miso soup and the green salad are so-so. There are a lot of Japan-style restaurant out there that offer cheaper and much better food.

Best spicy crab sushi I have ever hadHands onAny and everybody please go thereYou will definitely not be disappointedTrust me

Ordered a sushi platter for take out. Owners were very nice and food is very fresh.

Sushi here was good

good quality sushi, friendly owners! lunch combo came with delicious glass noodles as a side :)

SO happy to have found this gem! The fish is fresh, rice is perfectly cooked. We had the red dragon roll and spicy tuna! Highly recommend!

We found this place on google and review seemed good so we decided to get takeout from here.we ordered Medium size party tray.We called there to ask what's in there and told us 16pieces of Sashimi,16 piece of sushi and 2kinds of rolls.but it was 90% salmon in this party tray. There were only 3piece of Tuna sashimi and 2piece of shrimp sushi. We didn't expect like this much salmon and even not fresh and so so fishy.I spilled out Tuna and some piece of salmon sashimi because must be so old or bad. First time I spilled sushi/sashimi tbh. Also, I love ginger but their ginger tastes something wrong as well so basically didn't taste good at all.I believe AYCE sushi taste way too better.Sorry to write bad review but I felt so so dissapointed with their food quality.

Amazing authentic food! The best japanese restaurant around the area so far. My husband and I normally go to AYCE buffet for some good sushi and sashimi. We searched for something different and found this small restaurant and give it a try. First they followed covid 19 safety protocol by asking for vaccine passport and ID. The owner i think they were couple were so nice and friendly, ambience is good although its quite a small place it well kept. They have a short list of menu, so you wont get overwhelmed with the selection. The sashimi were divine! My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki and finished everything on his plate. We are totally satisfied with the food and the service. I will highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for something extra ordinary, a hidden gem among other big restaurants in the plaza.

Small place. Average sushi and sashimi. Service was ok.Miso soup had no tofu or seaweed yet costs $2. I imagine this is a good place to grab a quick lunch.
