The BEST sub restaurant in Scarborough handsdown. After eating subs here I'm never going back to Subway. The service is so so warm and the fact the owners are so passionate just makes it all the better. Highly highly recommend them. It's cheaper than subway and Much better quality of food and service.
I went there tonight to try the subs and I have to say they are one of the best subs I have had. It’s the old school sub shop with fresh toppings and buns. Also, it’s so nice to finally go into restaurant and have great customer service. Most places now are quiet, unfriendly and seem annoyed when you even say how are you. I will definitely make the trip to Chubby Subs whenever I have a craving for a sub. Definitely recommend!!
Great simple subs. Nothing fancy. They are generous with the amount of protein. Other sub places you get a couple pieces of protein and your paying around 12-14 bucks for a combo and your left hungry after. This place less then 10 bucks for a combo and your satisfied!
This is a true hidden gem of Scarborough. The ambience is a blast from the past. A must-try for any submarine lover! Subway, Firehouse Subs, and Mr. Sub are nothing compared to these guys. You simply cannot beat these prices. The subs are packed with meat/topping (not stingy). It is the best deal you can get, the food is spectacular and the owner is very accommodating. They're a great spot overall.
WOW, this is truly a hidden gem in Scarborough. EXCELLENT SUB SANDWICHES. GREAT VALUE AND AFFORDABLE. You simply cannot beat these prices. This is the best bang for your buck and the food tastes AMAZING. Fresh food, toppings, and very very friendly owner. Just an amazing overall food spot.
Best sub I have recently had! Super nice owner/staff. Price is very reasonable. Great food for the price. I will forget subway if I am around this place!
Wow. This really sucks!!! I have a sub franchise that's a 2 minute walk from my house. And after trying Chubbys subs, I can never go there again. Family of 5, $38, ingredients are super fresh and over flowing. The bread is amazing and Chris and staff are super welcoming. BEST SUB EVER(CHICKEN CLUB)!!! I just finished my sub, and I'm already looking forward to going back.
I'm never having Subway or Quiznos near me after visiting this place today. It's like a hidden gem of Scarborough for sure, many people drive by but never go in. Prices are amazing, their daily special footlongs are only $6.4. Service was very friendly, they also don't skimp on the portions while making your Sub. They make the bread in-house and you can taste the difference.Inside gives off 80s/90s vibes, the pictures, colours and paintings around the dine-in area are so cool! Makes you feel like you've travelled back in time. I'll definitely be coming back!
I can't ever go to Mr. Sub, Subway, or Quiznos again after having their pinnacle tier subs. Chris and Lisa are spectacular and very professional at Morningside and Sheppard in Scarborough. The quality of their food made me feel like I was eating cardboard and plastic all these years from their competition. Lastly the PRICING OF THE SUBS ARE VERY GOOD. May Jesus bless Chubby's Subs and all the staff greatly.
Great vibe going in with a friendly chap making the sub. The toppings weren't loaded - what seemed like just enough as they were going on - but I do wish I had asked for a few more pickles. 6 on a 12" sub just didn't cut it. The bun was quite cold - likely recently out of the fridge, so it was kinda firm and doughy. I added bacon to my turkey sub and it was great (except for the real chewy bits). Not exceptional, just fine. Not saucy enough.
