Dont know why but things have changed . Today I pick up the same sandwich and found no meat inside but full of onion. Changing my review to 1 star. Kept my old photo with todays one just for reference. When I call to complain the lady simply said different cook put different amount of meat. This much in difference is called scammingNobody can beat the quality and quantity of this steak sandwich with the price. The meat is extremely juicy and flavourful. The onion sauce goes perfectly with the meats.
Ordered 3 veal sandwiches and one chicken at Warden/Eglinton location. Prices were reasonable until you add toppings. Mushrooms, Peppers, Cheese, Hot Peppers all cost 2Dollars each. After this my sandwich is closer to 18/20 Dollars.Cost 78 Dollars for 4 sandwiches that were nothing great. Over priced. Might explain why the place was empty. Oh yeah, They forgot the Hot Peppers on my sandwich.

First time having this…wow…When I saw the price I was put off and only got a “mini”…once I took a bite I wish I had got the regular size…Awesome quality worth every PennySteak and veal parmigiana were both awesome
I’ve hear a lot of great things about California Sandwiches and I was excited to try it. I ordered the steak sandwich with mushrooms. I was so disappointed when I unwrapped my sandwich. Im all for a messy sandwich but this was just a mess. The bun wasn’t cut through, the meat and sauce had fallen off, i wasn’t able to pick it up. The steak was dry and bland. I’m glad I tried it, but I won’t be back. There are far better places to eat in the area.

I wish I had an apartment above this place. Amazing sandwiches, friendly service, I'd eat here daily. Excellent value for money, and the jalapeños are actually spicy! You gotta eat here!

Excellent sauce at this place! Sandwiches are very generous in size so we always get the mini’s but they are all great, sooooo tasty, worth the drive! Still love this place ! Updated pics too
Service was fast. The food was hot and very good. Generous portion! I get the mini sandwich. Also, sauce on the side if Im taking it home to eat.
