The only reason I am taking time out to do this review here is to give an answer to an unprofessional server who made a comment on us for not tipping. My dear, If I can afford a $150 meal, I can definitely afford a 20% or whatever tip. Tips support the fact that the service is great and friendly. If the servers do not serve with professionalism and tell you they are busy when you call them for placing an order after patiently waiting for 20-25 mins, you lose your tip. When you ask for a drinks menu and they literally throw it on your table, you lose your tip. When they do not attend to you properly and leave without even listening to your complete order and you have to get up from your seat to call them back, you lose your tip. Nobody minds waiting on a busy day but unprofessional service doesn't deserve a tip. I hope now you know why you did not get a tip! A tip is not your right. Its something you earn!PS: Its disgusting to ASK for a tip. Height of unprofessionalism.
My husband and I frequent this place for little dates. It's cozy. We love the booths. We've encountered two different servers who are both super friendly and make you feel like you're being taken care of by a friend. The manager works right along side the servers when it gets busy. My husband likes good food and good portions and is never disappointed. I go for my jalapeño cheddar soup in the bread bowl everytime.Thank you Scroggies!!
I've only ever had great food and service when I'm here! Love this place for lunch or dinner!
Very nice place for a chill out. Affordable and tasty dishes. The service was awesome!!
Good food, awesome servers, clean place. I enjoyed myself at scroogies.
Best jalapeno cheese soup I've ever had and it comes in either a normal bowl or a bread bowl. Myself, I prefer the bread bowl.
I've always slept on this place, but it's in a good way now. Actually the same, but the c*v*d restrictions have dampened a lot of people's moods. Here, we good. And I can't make fajitas this good at home no matter how I try.
Went there this past Friday night looking to relax a little. We were welcomed by some lovely wait staff and I had such high hopes! We sat down, I ordered a coors banquet (They didn't have much in the way of beer selection, but that's okay for me) and we started looking over the menu. When it came time to order, we started with the spinach dip. When it arrived, it was served in a bread bowl...for some reason. One of the lovely things about a dip such as a cheesy spinach dip is that it should be toasted in an oven to get the cheese melted and bubbly...which cannot be done while in a bread bowl. Needless to say, the plastic-y cheese on top of the dip was solid and, in general, the whole thing was ill conceived. When the waitress took our order we wanted to order the fajitas. My date and I had a conversation about how she didn't want jalapenos, and the waitress said that it wasn't a big deal to have them on the side in case we didn't want to eat them. We agreed and she took our order of fajitas and hot wings. The server brought out the warm tortillas for the fajitas a good 10 minutes before any of our other food along with the toppings. This was strange to me...as when the meat and vegetables (Including jalapenos on the side!) arrived the tortillas were cold again. The toppings were...okay. The cheap cheese was disgusting, it's the kind you'd get pre-shredded at the discount store. Oddly, the fajitas were the best dish of the evening. The hot wings were served as well. I'll admit that they had some nice crispiness to them! Unfortunately, the hot sauce was so salty that it was nearly inedible. I tried, I truly did! I ate 5 of the 10 on my plate before I had to stop because I needed to chug water after every bite. Not because of heat, but because of the salt. The server was nice enough to take them off the bill for us at the end of the evening.Interestingly, when the bill arrived the server had ADDED the jalapenos we originally didn't want for an extra 55 cents. I just burst out laughing at the bill. After having an entire conversation with the waitress about not wanting jalapenos she ADDED them to our bill. This addition was not reflected in the menu which clearly stated jalapenos were included in the meal. The server explained that "due to covid" a lot of items are starting to be added on extra. This is fine. I'm all for restaurants having to raise prices and pass on price increases to customers. I'm NOT all for dishonesty in pricing. I felt that this had been deliberate at this point.I paid the bill and left fairly quickly.I'll admit that I liked the atmosphere, I think it is definitely a place that seems welcoming and where I could go and spend a lot of time and money. Unfortunately, I could never justify it based on the quality of food and dishonesty in their pricing.I'd like to give it another try someday, but until some changes are made, we won't be returning.
Service was great, waitress was friendly with a smile, food was fantasticWill return
Lots to choose from on their menu. Our meal was really good and the service was great. We'll definitely be back.
