We frequent there quite often and the food, atmosphere and staff are great. Today wasn't one of your stellar moments. There was a number of items on the menu that wasn't available, and they closed the doors at 6pm because they were out of certain food and equipment failure. People enjoy going there. You need to get your act together or you're going to end up closing the doors.
One of the very best local family restaurants in the city. The breakfasts are the best. If you haven’t been here yet, you totally got to try this place. Cromwell Grill is a great local restaurant. It’s been a while since I’ve been in but I’m aiming to be back in again soon for another delicious breakfast. The food is DELICIOUS!Over 50 years in business and here’s to a thousand more years in business and of success.
This dining experience was meant to be a quick in and out breakfast as our group was on night shift. First off, our meal from start to finish took 2 hours. For breakfast. Our server was an older lady that wasn't overly inviting or kind, and didn't seem eager to bring us anything we ordered. I was told specifically that I could not have scrambled eggs mixed with egg whites. After the inconvenience of us even being there ended, I still tipped generously (30%) after a drastically lower than average quality of meal and service experience, to continue to be treated poorly by our server. I no longer live in Sarnia, but was born here, and my entire family lives here. And after years of this establishment being a staple in the downtown Sarnia district, I am sad to say I will never. Ever. Return. I have nearly a decade in the service industry and couldn't fathom treating guests in this manner. Although that meal took so long that it reduced my 7.5 hour sleep to 5 hours, I still considered it important to share this review. Food = average, service = better off asking your angry wife to make you a sandwich, might have a better reception.
These people have been here almost forever they know what they are doing, starting to adjust to no capacity limits has got them going full speed. I don't think it's worthy to take away a star for customer service. One they find there groove again, they will be just fine
Great dt environment, even tho it's a small city. Food isn't outstanding, but more than good enough for the price! I would recommend this place any time
Triple decker club piled high with great tasting fries. Server was fantastic and friendly. Whole place really rocks the diner vibe. Age range 19 to 90. this place would be a great hangover breakfast joint.
This business has been around since I was a child, even before LOL. What can I say, except awesome and friendly staff and eager to please. When I come to town, go there for breakfast; keep up the great work. P.S. the club sandwich looks delicious
The service is excellent. The food is great and there are lots of good choices. Gus, the owner , is very friendly, hard working and likes to talk to the customers . The place is downtown, near the local live theatre and in the business section, near banks etc. There are so many things on the menu that I like. Will always continue to visit The Cromwell Grill when in town. Try it, you'll like it.
Can see why it's a Sarnia favourite! It's been around for decades too. Food is home-cooked, delicious, generous portions. Their hash browns (grilled)are the best, and the three-egg ham omelette was the best I've had. If you go here for lunch, expect to wait in line for a table. Park farther away and walk there, parking is at a premium, and it's a one way street, going west FYI.
You did it! Congratulations! World's best cup of coffee! Great job, everybody!
