Seafood Dim Sum

Amazing place to have dim sum. The place is pretty popular, where you might have to put your name on a list and wait around 30 mins for them to call you. When you get inside and order, the food comes pretty fast. The choices are excellent. They are known for their fresh seafood. The staff are very friendly and hospitable.

Really high quality seafood restaurant. Couple time experiences here, never disappointed about dish. Lobster, crab, fish, beef, chicken, roast duck(3 cooking way) , the soup , even dessert and dessert soup. You should try all of them. Very suitable for friend and family gathering here. Worthy to go!

I see food... Yu Seafood. We all want seafood! We were on the lookout for a good Cantonese restaurant after running errands at Hwy 7. Hard to believe we'd never dined here. Known for high end ambiance, its popularity's led to a new location at Yorkdale Mall. How often does a Chinese restaurant have a concierge area.We ordered an interesting menu set that included both dim sum & seafood. There's a first time for everything, so while skeptical at first it hit the spot! Huge shrimp dumplings were served with plenty of shrimp filling. Beef rice noodle rolls were also served along with crunchy Chinese fried dough for the dim sum theme. Next came the good stuff.Lobster (4 lb) was prepped two ways. Lobster congee was smooth & creamy with sweet claw meat and garnished with heaping amounts of fresh cilantro & scallions. Succulent lobster served stir-fried in Maggi sauce is a crowd pleaser that always opens our appetite. If we thought the only thing better would've been some noodles, abalone yee-mein soaked in flavour rounded out our decent meal.An attentive waiter served our plates & bowls. Each booth included plexiglass barriers. The restaurant even had private dining rooms as well as a second floor, although it wasn't quite that busy during our afternoon lunch visit. We were impressed by the good ambiance at Yu Seafood, rivalling that of fine dining in Asia.

This restaurant’s stylish decor, tasty food and delicate utensils were pretty impressive. What was equally striking to us were the front desk people’s lack of courtesy, professionalism and basic people skill, which was quite a contrast compared to other great establishments. We are not sure whether to come back again since there are other nearby restaurants serving equally tasty food.

Service was amazing throughout the meal. However, when the bill came, the server told us that the lobster we had was 0.5 pounds heavier, therefore, we need to pay extra. We ordered a set lunch there and was never asked if we are ok with the extra charge. Nor did they weigh the lobster in front of us. It wasn't too much so we paid without arguing. But I will never return to this place again.

Excellent service and great food. I cannot believe it took me a while to try this place out. Really enjoyed their dim sum service. They accept cash or debit only. No credit card.

Excellent dim sum restaurant. They use very high quality food and excellent cooking techniques. The results are wonderful taste and texture food. Very classy and comfortable modern decoration and seating. The only downside is that there are potholes everywhere in the parking lot. Make you reservation early because it is hard to get a table on the weekend.

Have been here millions times. I owe the restaurant a ?! Clean and appealing environment! Courteous staff! Yummy food and reasonable prices! Who would say no to it?

High end design including washroom! The food plates are spectacular and artistic. Private rooms should be booked in advance, especially at weekends. It's very clean including washroom. The beautiful receptionist is friendly, patient and efficient. It's one of highest end Chinese style restaurants in GTA. It's good place for celebration.

Early Valentine's dinner so we decided to try Yu Seafood for some lobster. We also had shark fin soup which we were a bit disapponted on the portions that we had for the money we spent on each bowl. I would have thought to get bit more soup, not just a rice bowl size portion. We didn't get the set meal for 2 which comes with 2.5lb lobster so we got 4.3lb lobster instead (more yummy lobster meat to eat). Prices for lobster are pretty much the same per lb to other restaurants. Had it prepared steamed which garlic. Also ordered fried snow pea leaves with garlic. Enjoyed the lobster very much, steamed perfectly and very tender. The snow pea leaves could have been better and some of the stems where a bit old so can not be chewed. For dessert we had amond cookie, Chinese style coffee flavored pudding and sweet red bean soup. All the desserts were very good to end our meal. Not too sure I would come again.. We thought this to be a four star dinning experience but didn't really feel it. For the amount of money spent we could have had a better time and more food at our local restaurant that we normally go to...
