The dim sum is good, but it's bonkers trying to get a table here. Expect extreme crowding in the waiting area on the weekends.

This place has the best dim sum. Make sure try what they have marked as “recommended”. My fav is the black sashimi bun. Big open areas. Hard to get a table if arrive after 12:30. Best time during work days before 11:30.

Fantastic! That's all I have to say. When we first looked at the menu, I was admittedly skeptical cus it is pricier than your average dimsum place but once your dining experience begins, you'll see that it's more than reflective of the price. Their servers are attentive, the portions are huge and the dishes are quite tasty. There were a couple of dishes I didn't like as much nut for the most part it was excellent. I already recommended to our friends and will be coming back again soon. It does get pretty busy on weekends so arrive early to get a table or you'll have to wait for a while.

So as I understand it Dragon Boat closed down during covid and one of the owners opened up The One. Dim sum here is good, with larger portions then your average place (actual size of the dumpling, not quantity) everything here is pretty good and for sure with checking out if you were a fan of Dragon Boat. Favorites include 1000 thread shrimp balls, har gow and honey pan fried short rib. Not the best place in Markham, but it’s up there for sure…check it out.

I’ve been here with my partner a few times. It’s pretty good dim sum. If you get there early, there isn’t really a line up, but it can get pretty busy with long waits.I usually get the staples. The steamed shrimp dumplings (har gow) is served in a little dishes with a little bit of clear broth. They need to add a little seasoning as sometimes it tastes bland. The chicken feet isn’t my favourite and the sauces I’ve had from other restaurants are more enjoyable the the chicken feet themselves are good with a nice ratio of meat/cartilage/skin. My partner really likes the thousand thread shrimp Ball it’s 3 large shrimp balls, 2 covered in almond slices and 1 converted in fried won ton strips, dipped in the red vinegar, it’s like a shrimp version of Hai Kim. The shrimp rice rolls and the pan fried honey ribs are always a must.

[Overall Review]This is close to home for us, so it's good a good close by dim sum place to stop by on the weekends, however they tend to get VERY busy on weekends from like 11 - 2 so be warned. We had a reservation for 11am but still had to wait when we arrived and didn't get seated till about 11:30am. With covid still at play, we are happy that they have a pretty big patio section that wraps around the outside of their restaurant. The reason I gave this place a 3 instead of a 4 star is mainly due to service. We had waited a long time to be served once we were seated but no one really came by until we waved someone down to hang them our ordering sheet, once we did that we waited about another 30 minutes and notice tables after us started getting food but we didn't... We then tried to wave someone down again, and realized that whoever took our ordering sheet never punched our order in... The food for us was hit or miss on some dishes, some were really tasty and others were a bit disappointing.[Food Highlights]Steam Siu Mai - I love that their siu mai are fairly on the large side and perfectly seasoned. Nice and juicy just how we like it.Chiu Chow Dumplings - These dumplings, kinda remind me of the Thai peanut dumplings, as the fillings are more loose and not packed like traditional chinese dumplings. Filled with peanuts and veggies.Steamed Octopus in Curry Sauce - This was a hit for my husband, we don't normally order this for dim sum but a friend of ours that day did and we are glad she did. My husband is a huge curry fan so definitely check this dish out if you're a fan of curry tooDeep Fried Lotus Root with Salted Duck yolk - This was the highlight for us, fried lotus root seasoned with salty duck yolk was the perfect crunchy texture to munch on. Very addiction be warned![Disappointing Food Items]Steam Bean Curd Rolls - I was a little disappointed in this dish, as its one of my favourite dim sum dishes. The ones served here were a little dry and tasteless to me.Steam Chicken Feet - This is a must order dish for my husband, but sadly on the day we went it wasn't available, not sure if they were sold out for the day or if it was a permanent thing, as we saw it was crossed off the menu.Sticky Rice with Chicken - Very disappointed in this dish as it was very bland and very dry with little filling.. We get better tasting ones from the frozen section of the supermarket. Do not recommend this dish at all!!Turnip Cake - This was another disappointing dish as it was lacking in flavour and was mushy. We were also disappointed in the selection for steam rice rolls and congee and those are usually our go to orders for dim sum. We love steam rice rolls with youtiao (chinese long donut sticks) and we love congee with preserved egg both of which was not an option here.

Delicious dim sum at their outside patio! Great presentation, great flavours, efficient service! Highly recommended.

Good portion, food are fresh. A little pricy, love Siu mai, curry squids, the special steam buns is a must to try. But the only disappointed item I left 3 star is the dessert in the cage, $17.80 expected the food present be some specialty pastry, but just beans, jelly fish, seaweeds, etc which I can order to them in large portion. Over all, descent. I will try out the dinner menu next time.

Very good dim sum in Richmond Hill. Very cozy place and clean. A bit cloudy after 11am. Servers are very friendly and fast. They will accommodate everyone well.Food was very tasteful and not that overpriced compared to other restaurants. Not very salty or oily. Was perfect done. Chef has a good skills. I would recommend this place for everyone.

Made reservations (6 people) for Saturday at 11:30AM - still ended up waiting over an hour for a table. For smaller tables, the wait will probably be 30 minutes to an hour at this time... So arrive earlier. No issues with the service - everyone was nice and polite. Only the host at the front podium was a bit cold, but honestly can't blame her - droves of persistent aunty and uncles asking for updates on their table, breathing all over her.The dim sum here is delicious. Better quality than your average dim sum restaurant. Ballpark around 3 dishes per person and you should be good.
