Yummy food . The best Thai food restaurant in Toronto I must say . Enjoyed every bite. Reasonable prices. 5/5. Must try pineapple fried rice .
Great place for Thai food. Service was good and the food was really yummy. Thai Shrimp cake was yummy. Thai Green Curry was spicy and got a beautiful flavour to it. We asked for pad Kee mao in glass noodles and they made it for us and it was tasty. Definitely will go to this place again.
I've been coming here for at least 8 years once in a while and it's one of my continuous go to Thai restaurants!Came here for dinner as a table of 5 about two weeks ago, the portions were all decent size and great for sharing family style! We ordered:Pomelo SaladGreen Mango SaladBeef & Chicken SatayBBQ Pork JowelMussamun Curry Beef BrisketCurry Soft Shelled CrabBangkok Style Pad ThaiGarlic PrawnsYoung Coconut Fried RiceFavourites were pomelo salad, pork jowel, Brisket Curry, pad Thai and coconut rice. The two curries we ordered were not spicy but actually sweet which was interesting to try! The coconut fried rice was baked in tin foil and infused with coconut flavour and a chewy rice texture - very unique and delicious! Can't wait to come back next time!
It was my first time and I really loved the ambiance. Beautifully decorated with Buddha art. We felt private with the nice partitions. Alison and Ester took amazing care of us. They would think ahead and were so sweet and helpful. The food was delicious. If you want authentic Thai this is a wonderful place.
Amazing food that fits the Indian taste pallate so smoothly. Drinks were complementing the food choices and overall ambiance was awesome as well.
This was the best thai food I’ve ever had! The red curry especially was amazing - will definitely be coming back. I also ordered the peach dragonfruit mocktail and it was delicious. Very good experience
Thai Basil has been a local staple for us for quite some time. It’s great to have such flavourful & authentic Thai food in our neighborhood. My hubby and I ended up here for his Birthday after not having dined at Thai Basil during the pandemic. We had the weekday lunch menu which is a good value for your money. It includes a spring roll, soup with the main course. Everything was perfectly spiced; an explosion of flavour in our mouths. Service was great- they were attentive, responsive and friendly. Definitely a must try!
Just had a lunch at Thai Basil first time, I saw great reviews so decided to try this restaurant. Main dishes are very sweet, curry and Bangkok Pad thai where clearly written tamarind sauce rather than sweet and spicy sauce was very sweet. They are adding too much sugar in the dishes and claiming it is due to coconut milk. Sugar had suppressed taste and flavors. The serving size was good, and the soup (some broth with two little pieces of mushrooms) was tasty. In decent restaurant customer expresses that dish is not good, the choice is given to replace the dish. It wasn't the case, I was really excited for my Thai spicy food today, Thai Basil really disappointed me.
Thai Basil offers delicious, authentic Thai dishes. Love their Tom Yum soup, Thai Basil chili noodles, and mango salad. Whenever I have a craving, this is my go to!
There are lots of great Thai restaurants in the GTA and Thai Basil definitely is one of them. First, the service was great, friendly and efficient all the way, our orders came quick with zero delay. The food was amazing, we ordered the "Khao soi" noodles and the "pad gra pao" and it was spot on to what we had back in Chang Mai but thankfully not as spicy. If you enjoy Thai cuisine then you owe it to yourself to check the place out.Super clean, tasty and well priced.
