One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We live two hours north of this location, but we come here all the time as we love their food. This afternoon, on the way to the restaurant, I called to place an order for pick up. One of the employees, “Alex” answered the phone. As I was giving him the food order, and advised him that we are on our way and will be there in 10 minutes, his response was “You don’t decide the time, I’ll tell you the time”. I never asked him to prepare the order within 10 minutes. I am not sure whether he was having a bad day or something else, he was extremely rude over the phone, and we needed up having to cancel the order. We will never be coming back to this location. I’m sure this is not gonna make any difference in their business, but I really hope the management sees this review and speak with Alex, and possibly teach him some good manners.
Ordered a meal on Dec 23rd... Fried Rice, Hot and Sour soup, Hakka beef wet and chicken pakoras.... went to pick it up.... lady at the cash - uninterested in serving customers....not pleasant.. hadn't seen her before... got home and the food was not good. Soup was flat and watered down. Rice was okay, but over cooked and the pakoras and beef were not their usual standard... $60 cash... down the drain. I know these restaurants are struggling and I try and support, but not when its gone down hill. Never again,
I am so glad that there is a hakka restaurant in this area! Ordered the lunch specials and both the Chili chicken and crispy beef were pretty good, lots of sauce. They are generous on the meat too. Great customer service by a waitress.Gave one star less because I noticed that the server who just cleaned the washroom did not take off his cleaning gloves and went straight to delivering food to our table...
I’m so sad to leave this review because I’ve loved going here for the past few years. We ordered $69 worth and all the same dishes I usually order (chicken fried rice / sesame chicken/ beef hakka noodle / green beans / veg spring rolls / sweet and sour shrimp)So let me break down how each dish wasChicken fried rice- just not tasty at allSesame chicken - soggyBeef hakka noodle- ZERO flavour. Literally like eating nothing.Green beans- so so deliciousVeg spring roll- COLDSweet and sour shrimp- shrimp so over cooked not edible, couldn’t even cut through it.So before I came to write this review we called- wanted to give them a chance to make it right or explain why this happened. I always want to give the chance esp in covid times, 0 explanation. She said sorry about that. Lol. Sad. So I had no choice but to share so people can honestly know what to expect. Sad they lost a long time customer.
Even though i ordered take out the service they gave when i came to pick up wasn’t very nice. They have no patience at all.The crispy beef was not crispy at all. It was attempted to be fried and very soggy, having i ate it in my car right after getting the takeout.I requested if it would be possible to eat in despite having ordered take out and they adamantly said no, which is fine… but at least they should have given me utensils to eat the food, being nine months pregnant i did not enjoy the experience.
Food is good. Service is prompt (or expectations of wait times are communicated upfront) but there is no extra effort put in for customer service. I usually get take-out & get cut off by the order taker & asked for my phone number in order to proceed.
The Chili Chicken is fantastic as are the vegetable spring rolls. Sweet and Sour Chicken is a bit too tangy. Chicken Fried Rice was surprisingly bland.
First I thought the reviews might have been fake or given by mistake. But NO. I was wrong. The food is not good. Average taste. And they have absolutely pathertic customer service and the person who takes order over phone/counter is extremely rude. No respect to customers over the phone or in person. Been here twice to get food and I had the same experience. The food I ordered was watery, very salty and no essence of flavors at all. I would not recommend this place for hakka Chinese food.
We ordered the chicken pad Thai and the vegetable pad Thai. The quantity of chicken and the vegetables in both of our dishes was lacking. My girlfriend had literally 5 mediocre sized pieces of broccoli arrayed out in the four corners of the takeout dish. Also not to mention the “vegetable” pad Thai literally only had broccoli. So might as well call it a broccoli pad thai. Other then that honestly it was tasty and the spice level was perfect. But if you expect to have repeat customers you have to impress by providing more quantity in the dishes.
Hmmmm, had been looking forward to experiencing the food @ Tangerine but it did not completely live up to the expectation. Ordered the Pad Tai with chicken and shrimp and was marked as MILD, chemo has stopped me from the spice level I could once handle.... the Pad Tai was so freaking hot my toes curled up. The taste from what I could ascertain was good but WAY TO spicy for a dish marked as mild. BE WARNED.
