Food is fine but the girl who works at the front desk is completely insane and really should not be in contact with other humans. The best thing that they could do is get rid of her immediately and maybe replace her with a vending machine of some sort. She is rude, obnoxious, annoying, and has absolutely zero sense of any customer service whatsoever. A total piece of garbage and waste of space.
If you want good service and to support a local small business, this is the place to go. They are welcoming, and the food is great and quickly prepared!
Consistent terrible service. My family has placed multiple orders with Taftan Kebab over the years and always run into problems with missing items. I've even double-checked with them before leaving to make sure and I'm provided re-assurances that everything is in order.To make things worse, it's almost become a struggle to get a refund on food that was paid for but not included. Offers to send the missing food via Uber are appreciated but not a viable solution considering that we live in Markham and Taftan is in Richmond Hill. Do yourself a favour and spend your money elsewhere. The food here isn't worth the hassle.
I hate to write bad reviews. And never bother with it. I have been going here for several years and have catered mutiple parties. Today I ordered, kabob and joojeh and the quality of the meat was horrible. I don't know if the owner has changed. Koobideh tastes like plastic we actually had to throw it out.. Chicken was dry. The staff were confused. Its sad because you want to support local. I hope they read these reviews and fix the problems. I really don't want to give them a second chance.
As a Persian, this place is a disgrace. I can't believe the food they serve could be called a Persian Kebab. The food had no taste and the meat was definitely not fresh (had a horrid smell and was stale). Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone trying to have a good kebab, there are countless other restaurants near that serve quality food.
used to be acceptable few years ago. but and a big but, now several of the dishes I tried recently are absolutely horrible! so disappointing

Have you ever had Kebab with cucumber? You should, at least for once in your life, taste kebab with cucamber; not a small piece, a real big one. Believe me, it’s a disaster. And then with lots of salad, all loaded into a flat bread such that the whole thing falls apart with every bite, and so dry that it won’t go down even with your coke. If you haven’t, then try their kebab sandwich. In my whole life, I have never had such a kebab. Their sandwich is more like season salad with bread and something in there which they call kebab which was more like extra lean meat seasoned to the point of no return. It’s hard for me to imagine where they have got the recipe from
Bad kabab, it s dried, elastic chowing feel to it, note balanced spices, smell raw meat,Bad rice, dried no salt no butter. Yellow rice is just colored, low or no Safran.Service, very dark and dead environments, make you feel regret coming there. And server talking on cellphone while serving and taking your order make you feel you are wasting your money.People rate them highly ware not honest or not know what is ok food testing like.Definitely not going back and I wouldn't recommend their food.
