We dined here a few times. We didn't know whether we could find a nice Vietnamese restaurant and we were craving some good Pho and decided to eat here. What makes XeLua unique is that the noodles are handmade in the restaurant. The freshly made noodles with the amazing broth gives this restaurant the upper hand! The atmosphere, for a little restaurant is welcoming with some beautiful pictures from Vietnam. The food is tasty and the price is quite reasonable.
I'm a fair and honest reviewer and I have to say, this food was nasty. The chicken was mostly skin and bones.. gag worthy. I am not generally picky either. The curry had a half inch of oil on top and tasted more Indian than Vietnamese. The spring rolls were just OK, had a shrimp tail still one.. and very basic but only came with like 2 tablespoons of peanut dip. I rarely hand out 1 stars. Dont order from here. I ate about 10 percent before tossing it out.
The spring rolls were ok (a double portion is pictured). They had too much yam but tasted decent.
Got the combination beef pho & skipped the tripe. It was decent. The beef ball was pretty bouncy but it was not a ball - it was roughly cut from a larger slab. The soup was pretty good.
Service was good and price was decent. Food served hot and efficient. Spring rolls were a bit smaller than other Vietnamese restaurants.
I am a dedicated customer to this restaurant because they never ever disappoint me. The soup is always rich and delicious and the quantity is always so big. I can buy a large and share with someone. I love this place so much and if you are looking for a absolutely amazing pho place. They will never let you down!!!!
ordered a bun bo hue and pho for takeout. the pho soup spilled everywhere and the bun bo hue had 2 slices of meat.
As a Vietnamese, i rate this restaurant 1*- First reason, their foods are bad- second reason, their smoothy bad too, the taste like they just add juice flavor into water,And last thing that i bet this restaurant run by chinese not Vietnamese. Never come back!
Unexpectedly inauthentic. The broth tasted no beef but a little bit chicken and non flavorful. The temperature is not hot enough and the toppings are nothing special. When I ordered chili they gave the green ones which was senseless and too cheap because the green basically has no flavor. The overall experience felt like wasted money & ruined the appetite for the meal because no food met the standard. The service is ok tho.
Soup is warm, tea is warm, more food items sold out. Will not come back again.
