I periodically shop here for bread and deli meats. Was buying sandwich supplies for a group hike trip and asked for 500g of rosemary ham thinly sliced. They did as much, but the 2-3 young employees working there proceeded to chat amongst themselves about how gross it is when people order 500-700g of meat while glancing at me from time to time. Very unprofessional. Maybe gossip when the customers you’re talking about aren’t within earshot.
Bad experience with fresh fish at the Richmond Hill store, worms in fish. No management at the store, only kids running this place.
Beware of expired goods/goods past their best before dates!Purchased an item that was a month past its best before date. Went to the store (albeit 3 weeks later) and pointed out to the cashier the goods were expired. Checks with manager and says it has been "too long" since purchase. I pointed out the product was already expired by a month at the time of my purchase, so it shouldn't have been on the shelf and is irrelevant when I bring it back.Eventually got a replacement product, but not before I got a lot of sass from the cashier and the manager. Tried pointing out to the cashier there were still expired products on the shelf and got a "I'm just the cashier" along with "nobody really does this".The purpose of my visit was to make the store aware of the product expiry and hopefully rectify the matter so it didn't happen to anyone else. For the record, I found a similar product that was also expired on the shelf at the time of my visit that was still on the shelf...Taking an expired product back into the store shouldn't be so dramatic and so much effort.I'm all for supporting local, but let's be courteous to the customers when issues come up.
A Beautiful young woman with blue nails take my sandwich with bare hands. NO GLOVES！！！I asked her : is this how you take sandwich without gloves? She answered: yes! I am pretty sure this is against Ontario Food Premises Regulation. And I will report that.
Excellent service, clean, fresh produce and a wider selection. As soon as I walked in the scent made me hungry.Pastries were above the rest.
Today was the day I decided never to shop there again. The little teenagers running this store are in serious need of proper customer service and manners not to mention the quality of the produce has gone way down.

As a customer it would apparently be best if I were to take my business elsewhere; I'd rather not distract from obviously more important matters.
