Halibut Sushi... the best sushi I had ever had!Yes... everything else is great too, like the chilled tofu, and grilled mackerel.
We were looking for a quick bite to eat at a restaurant in Richmond Hill and found Miyabi on maps. It was 6pm on a Tuesday, and there was only one or two other small tables when we walked in. Everything is a little pricey, typical for an a la carte Japanese restaurant, so don't expect to spend any less than $20-30 a person. We got a karaage appetizer to share. I got the nabeyaki udon, which came with tempura and my partner got the yakiniku dinner. The food took a really long time to come out and the portion sizes were just okay. The karaage really wasn't worth it though. It was 4 small pieces of chicken for $11 :( They also didn't have any mayo so it was a little dry and flavourless. The udon itself was good - especially the broth - but coming with only one shrimp tempura and a bunch of vegetables couldn't really justify the cost of $18. The yakiniku was just ok.The waitress was really nice though and I'm sure if we had gotten sushi or other fish dishes, our experience would have been a lot better. I'll opt for other options!
Miyabi is a hidden gem. The Bluefin Tuna is so delicious. The udon has a great broth. Nice, old school style Japanese restaurant. Great service, very attentive and quick. Servers couldn’t be nicer.
Sadly, the longest service for the regular food. We figured that ordering sushi here makes sense time wise. We ordered complete dinners and it took over an hour something that would take me 15-17 minutes to do at home. Very upsetting.
Great sushi take out expirence great quality a little more pricey but if you take advantage of the 20% off cash only order a day ahead its great. Very friendly service looking forward to my next visit.
Delicious food; sushi and sashimi are always fresh, freshest in town. Prices are reasonable. Service is wonderful.
Ordered sushi for take out. Too much rice and very little filling for the price you're paying. I am definitely not coming back here again.
The sashimi is supppper good and affordable. I had 3-4 pieces each of 5-6 different fish (18 pieces in total). And trust me I've never seen any place has such a HUGE sashimi piece like that in my life.I got the take out sashimi dinner from them ($29.95 for 18 big sashimi plus rice, salad and miso). I heard this place is run by Japanese, quite a small and old restaurant but authentic. Fish is fresh and the miso is so good.
I came here once with my colleague a couple of years ago. We spent about $50 each. The sushi was mediocre and small in portion. Service was minimal but overall good. I tracked to Japan and visited this restaurant not long afterwards, and it was very disappointing.
