Superb service and fresh sushi! Only a la carte and no ayce. Been here a couple times and it’s my son’s first time here. He was handed his own boat plate without asking, appreciate the thought they had when they noticed a toddler dining in as well. Love their individual booths, more privacy and safe - they also have curtains for the booth if you prefer additional privacy.
Great restaurant all around! Food is delicious and service is good. We have been regulars since before covid and while the prices have definitely gone up over time, they are still pretty reasonable; recommend their lunch deals.
Used to be my top place to have sushi and soup. Their mushroom soup was a rip off. I used to go to this place specifically for their rich and delicious mushroom soup. There was low quality ingredients with not the usual kinds of mushroom and NO VEGETABLES at all. The serving was twice as little as it would be with an increased price. Not going there anymore as I tried it twice in a row and got the same experience.
We ordered from this place on the night of February 15, 2022. This is what we discovered- rotten avocado in the California rolls, and the rotten side was, in my opinion, intentionally hidden as the rotten side is faced to and wrapped by seaweed. Prior to this discovery we had already eaten 4 of the California rolls, 6 salmon rolls and 4 tuna rolls, all of which did not taste particularly fresh. We tried to contact the store but they were already closed on 9:30 pm despite the hours listed was 10 pm. Within two hours the diarrhea came after upset sensations from the stomach. The next day the chef refused to acknowledge his misconduct and insisted that “it’s impossible to get diarrhea from their food” and blamed our lunch for the cause of diarrhea, which is laughable considering he has the audacity to dismiss our OWN experience with such an ludicrous argument (lunch diarrhea after 9 hours?) This makes me question- if they hide rotten avocado in California rolls, what about other food? I suggest all of you to STAY AWAY from this restaurant, or if you must order here, examine your food carefully. Everything above is our true experience and our own opinions.
Every time I go to this restaurant I find their servers very impatient and rude. Only went two times because convenient location. Both time It was very unpleasant experience. They should really train their waiters. Unprofessional. I will never go back. First time was about 7 years ago, recently went again thinking maybe I will give it a try one more time since it’s been so long. Still the same. Attitude was so bad, I walked out.
I use to love their sushi Staff was very rude and the quality went downhill After 20 years I will never ever order from this disgusting restaurant Ps way overpriced!!!!!!!!!!!
Over the years MINE has been my go to sushi restaurant. The fish has always been quality, the flavours well put together and the service and ambiance rather enjoyable. With that being said , the consistency has sometimes faltered regarding the rolls and the execution of their construction. Some days they were in fact perfect , others I felt like an amateur put them together as they would fall apart in between my chopsticks.I know I’m being rather harsh, but I’ve been going to mine for about 6 years and I hold their restaurant to a very high standard due to my amazing initial experiences with them . I would still recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great Japanese experience.
We love sushi and have a high standard for it… MINE serves top quality sushi and their portions are huge! Definitely one of the best sushi spots in Richmond Hill. Highly recommend!
This is a very busy, small, authentic and cute Japanese restaurant. They don't take reservations. The food is great. The service is very friendly. There is free parking. Thank you
The best sushi restaurant in the GTA. I have been a customer for 10 years and they never disappoint. I have tried many, many, many other sushi places but none compare. Always fresh, good portion size and excellent service. My fave are the spicy salmon rolls…have never found any other place that makes them as delicious as MiNe (Richmond Hill location). The other MiNe locations in Toronto and Aurora are similar, but not the same so if you want the best, it’s worth the trip to R-Hill. It’s a small restaurant so if you’re planning for dine-in make sure you call ahead (because of Covid) to see if they have tables available..otherwise worth ordering take out.
