Great Me Va Me location. Waiter staff is friendly and courteous. Location is updated and newly renovated.Great Israeli style middle eastern food. I recommend Jerusalem Mix.
This is a fine restaurant that keeps improving.I've been a regular of Me Va Me (Bathurst + Rutherford) for many years. They recently spruced up their menu and have a new Israeli chef. The quality of the food is always fresh and delicious (for starters, the basket of laffa that comes to the table), and there are some obvious improvements in the food presentation now (the house salad, for example, has a new clear and flavorful balsamic dressing.) They even have new crockery with a more authentically Middle Eastern look. I recently ordered the Marrakesh salmon: a beautiful piece of fresh salmon with a spicy coating, along with a side plate of rice.The service is very friendly and attentive. There is a new lunch menu, available until 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, which offers a bountiful full meal for $20. I've always found the decor and spacious atmosphere to be one of the appealing features of this restaurant, and there is lots of free parking. I like the fact that there is no "noise pollution" in the form of loud music ... just the sounds of people enjoying themselves in a quality restaurant. Well worth a visit.
Great food and service. Portions? Not so much. And it's getting worse. They have the audacity to charge $25 for a shawarma dinner, that is not more than a sample. It would barely be enough as a kids meal. Don't think I'm conning back here any time soon.
Hands down best Mediterranean food! Amazing - would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to even the toughest of food critic. In a word “splendid”. Why are you still reading this review - choose this place!
Food was delicious and portions were generous. Remember that it also comes with a salad and freshly baked pita bread. Great service and friendly staff. I've eaten at several me va me locations over the years and have never been let down.
Good food! Their portions are fairly large. I have tried almost everything (schnitzel, skewers, lamb, baba ganoush, hummus, roasted vegetables, fries, roasted potatoes, etc.) and they are all tasty. Some of their dishes, like the rice is very dry and has no taste, and their Caesar salads are sometimes drenched in the sauce, but otherwise nice place for lunch or dinner.
My spouse and I order from here via UberEats once in a while and every time we order the food is fresh and portion sizes are good. As others have said in the comments, their large laffa bread is mouthwatering…I have a gluten intolerance and still treat myself with this, but pay for it afterwards lol.Never had a bad experience here, but the only thing I’d comment on that could be better are the prices because they are a tad high. We usually only order from here when UberEats has a promotional coupon. A couple times we have ordered without the coupon and a meal for 2 runs up to about $50 not including driver tip. But once in a while it is so worth it :)We are moving in a couple months up North and won’t be able to order from here anymore. We will miss it! Thanks for the great food!
Good food, nice atmosphere
If I have to highlight only one from what this restaurant offers, freshly made pita/laffa is never resistible! It could be said some dishes are overpriced, but in general, dishes are good and generous. It would be worth to note that this restaurant is typically crowded during the core meal hours. Seat setting is not so great and you may be seated at a table too close to others without much of space to place your chairs comfortably.
Dined in for the first time, usually get take out from their express locations. The space is kept clean and spacious. Service was good as well.Food is delicious and good quality. However we were told we couldn’t add on fried eggplant to the laffa wraps, which is unfortunate because that’s what makes it more delicious. We weren’t asked about what sauces and toppings we wanted on there as well… will continue to just get take out from the express locations.The zaatar chips are good as well.
