Food quality is good. However, I've found better quality and portions at other Me Va Mes. Expensive compared to other Mediterranean restaurants serving similar dishes. Service could be much improved. Took about 20 minutes longer than pick-up time,.
Terrible value for your money. Portions are tiny on the chicken. Paid 30$ for this delivered. Unbelievable they send such small portions and the quality is not good like before. Stay far away
Takes too long to get order completed for a takeout restaurant doesn't make sense.Costs too much for portion, $19.90 for a sandwich like really?? You get a small portion of meat for that price and it is like chewing rubber.A tiny salad container is north of $7.50 ? that's just gouging.4 sandwiches in pita is $80.I know you gotta make money, but get a reality check. I am not griping to hurt them, I am making it clear they have to rework their pricing and give their customer a better experience. And WT... after $80 they want more $ for a single topping.Sadly, I can't recommend them.
This review is based on experience trying this location for more than 8 months.- Smaller Portions with increased prices. The prices have increased twice. No issues on this (inflation we all know)…But increased prices and lower standards do not go well.- For Laffa, it all depends on the person who is preparing your wrap. The sauce, hummus and filling is very inconsistently added.- Observation… there is an unsaid expectation of tipping. If you tip the order is made with care… else you receive sub-standard order.- Extremely slow in serving. There are times I have waited 20+mins for a wrap.- Noticed they have removed pickles and hot peppers from pita/laffa filling station. Garlic sauce was not available. This chain has so much potential but is going downhill in its service.
This place is really going down hill. Did not visit MeVaMe on Steeles due to pandemic but decided to stop by today for a quick take out. Portions are much smaller now and service is lacking. A bunch of girls are either all taking orders or all serving customers - you need them to do both!! NO process or methodology. Zero interest in making anyone feel welcomed. Had a falafel sandwich, very few choices of trimmings that go inside the falafel for free - very much below average.. Not coming back - what a bad experience!
They were supper busy, well, always super busy. If you want shawarma, the longest I heard is 1hr wait or order something else. Other items like grill chicken is like 20 to 30 mins wait. Not really a fast food. The stuff are always talking in their language really loud and seems confused always... The food is sometimes great sometimes not so much so not consistent. I go there because it's on my way back home from work otherwise I wouldn't go back there.
First the men who take the orders are so rude. Last time my whole order was wrong. They gave me a credit. When I went to put my credit on my next order they told me I didn’t have a credit. This has happened to a few people I know. You should be happy that your restaurant is busy and stop treating people rudely. It’s not always about the food. Service is the most important.
Can't give this place more than 3 stars just due to dish assembly. Good portion of chicken shawarma was provided but the sauce needs to be spread on before toppings are added. Chicken ends up dry without any sauce. Sauce also sticks to the wrapper so you lose half of it before you take a single bite. This is simple, just assemble it in the right order and your shawarma will be 50% better.
Food is not what it used to be. Overall it's edible but not exceptional, as it once was. Chicken breast was soft but on the dry side. Salad was OK but dressing was oddly thickened and I didn't know if it went bad or not. It was a jelly consistency. Vegetables were ok. The chicken shawarma with laffa wrap was chewy and extremely salty in between bites and we didn't know which component was overly salted.. maybe the sauce they added?! No clue. Place looks clean and no chairs around for eating indoors. Staff was OK and although confused with their orders, they got everybody served but it took a very long time. Too long for this type of food that is already prepped and veggies are precut, meat is rotating and heated, etc.. over 30 minutes. I conveniently give 3 stars. I wont go out of my way to eat here again. Also, the pricing is incredibly disappointing and I paid over $45 for a dinner and a sandwhich wrap with no drinks. You are better off going to a restaurant and sitting inside to enjoy yourself. That's my take from this experience.
One of our favourite Middle East restaurant. The service and food are both goid
