Great place north of Toronto to get authentic, bubbling bowl of soon tofu, without needing to drive into the city. The service is friendly and the prices are fair for a filling, flavourful meal. It's frustrating to read others complain about prices going up, when it's still cheaper than a salad at Pickle Barrel. First of all, inflation. Second of all, it's a family-owned restaurant, so they're making their living too. Third of all, if you're the type to seek out Asian restaurants for a "cheap" meal (and be honest because we all know people like that), go to Manchu Wok.
Not sure what the hype is all about. Ordered the pork bone soup and the meat WOULD NOT fall off the bones - meaning the meat was undercooked and to top it off, had an awful pork smell. Kindly asked the chef to exchange it for a tofu soup instead; he seemed confused at first, and ultimately did so. However the tofu soup came out without an egg - revenge? Will not return. Ever. Please save your money and go elsewhere.
This has to be one of the worst Korean restaurant. Terrible service, food was mediocre. I ordered seafood soon tofu and it came with 3 shrimps, 1 mussle and suppose to come with olysters but it didn't come with any... Instead of offering to replace they said "are you sure ? They are very small". Let's say go there if you want to pay $14 for tofu soup.
Ordered pork bone soup and it's tasty. The prices have gone up a little bit than before but honestly, to have a full meal like this for under $15, is really good. Service is bit slow cause but it's not terrible, they only had one server when I went around noon.
The food was good but the service was slow. We're talking about 40 minutes to get our lunch and during a weekday.
We try bibimbab, soon tofu, pork bone soup... Great food great service. Forget those Chinese sign at the store front... It's 100% Korean run business.
I was here with my little boy to grab a quick dinner today. First time for us but we love dol sot bab so we gave it a try. We ordered one dol sot bibimbab i love it it was really good. It took little time to be served though. And my boy had a soon doo boo with dumpblings with white soup with no spicy. I like how you can chose the level of spicy. He liked it alot he ate so much. I will definitely come back too try some other food.I pass by here but never noticed this restaurant before.

Amazing soondubu. Much better than buk chang dong soondubu at north york. The flavour can't be compared and they use tea for the hot rice stone bowl.
Love their tofu soup... Super silky and tasty.
