After coming here for over a decade, Kim Tao is still my go to hot pot. Kim Tao offers all you can eat (AYCE) with a decent variety of menu items. The meats are typically good quality, and their hot pot staples are also tasty.Kim Toa has had their share of ups and downs, and despite the recent difficult times for the restaurant business, they are still managing to stay afloat with good decent food.Family ran by one of the hardest working owners in the business. When restaurants were shutdown during the pandemic, it was probably the first "day off" he had in years.Support this great restaurant, I know I do when I can.

Incredible beef and lamb quality (dare I say one of the best in the GTA). It is amazing the quality of the meat they provide for an all you can eat package. Strongly recommend. Great, tender homemade pork/beef/fish balls as well.

Friend put me onto this place. Very reasonably priced with decent selection. Great value for your money - did I mention they give you free iced tea/plum juice?

Reasonably priced all you can eat hot pot. The meat and fish balls look hand made and are fresh, not that frozen stuff. Love that they have mango sago as a part of their menu for dessert. I will say this place does look a bit old and run down inside. Come for the food and not the decor. To find more tasty eats, follow me and check out my page on Instagram @hungrysimo

Still one of the good original Hong Kong hot pot for many years. Reasonably priced and actually all you can eat without price adder. Such as with free hot pot soup base. Free drinks. Fast service. Everything you need for a standard hot pot. Unlike many new $50+ per person fancy China hot pot with fancy interior, with more food than you can consume, more food to waste. Do not come and expect you get 3A or marbling beef. It's decent beef and meat. And you are not paying 60 bucks per person for it.

Service is efficient and accurate, food is good, a lot of choices. Will come back

Always my go to place for hotpot, reasonable price for all you can eat!❤

Nice to see them open up afterCovid ?? I missed hot pot so much

Solid hot pot place in a semi-quiet part of Richmond Hill not far off busy Highway 7.If you're looking for a good price and can do without all the frills this is a very good option. One of the more affordable all you can eat hot pot restaurants. Other all you can eat may be priced cheaper, but when it comes down to hot pot it is very reasonably priced, considering they have options for free soup bases where almost all other hot pot places will charge for a soup base on top of the menu price. Also worth mentioning is that this place is open late, whereas most places have shortened business hours due to the pandemic, Kim Tao continues to open late, making it a perfect spot for late night hot pot.The menu is a paper menu where you mark off which items you want and they will bring it to you. The food selection is okay, and should satisfy most of your hot pot wants, although certain more premium items do cost extra per plate if you are willing to splurge a little bit. There's an additional menu with some hot food items that is included in the price of the all you can eat, so be sure to check it out for some additional selections.Service is good and food is brought out quickly. Staff are quick to respond and tables also have a button to ring for someone should you have issues with tracking down someone for help. Finally, for some extra value, pay cash, as there is a small discount.
