What happened to this place? I’m not necessarily comparing about the food but this place is run down and lacking in so many ways. The entrance was a mess, covid screen not installed and just stacked up, no hostess to be found. The seats are worn down and cracked. And the plate I was served my food on was just gross. I used to come here and love this place but it just seems to have been forgotten. If I’m paying 25$ for a plate of pasta I’d like it served on a clean plate.
Best restaurant pizza and pasta. Great calamari! Mussels is good too, the sauce is best for dipping bread/ pizza crust. They recently added the Arugula Salad in their menu during Valentine’s Day, it has feta cheese, prosciutto, scallops and strawberries! It’s by far my favourite salad of all times. For drink menu, I gave it many tries, but eventually learned my lessons, don’t bother with ordering cocktails here, they aren’t great, neither are coffee or cappuccinos, not good… Just stick with wines.
Had a nice lunch here a couple days ago. The pesto pasta was one of the best I've ever had, and I would totally recommend it. The seafood didn't taste as fresh as I hoped it would. It seemed like it had just been microwaved. Similar with the chicken, it tasted like the oven roasted chicken you'd find at Costco. But our server was nice, and it wasn't too busy.
Great service and good food.Portion is larger, good for groups of 4 or above to share.Wine selection per category is around 4. Not bad but could have been better.
Very average pasta for a not very average price. For $60, two people should be able to each have a plate of good pasta. The ingredients for me were not very fresh and overall a mediocre meal in terms of taste. Their pizza is quite good though.
I am at this restaurant at least once a week. The food is fantastic as it the atmosphere and staff. I am vegan and I have never been to a better Italian restaurant for plant-based options. My friends who aren't vegan, rave about the food as well. They also have a fantastic tequila menu. Victoria and Guy always take great care of us. I highly recommend!!
Last night I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I can remember. I was part of a group of twenty-six who reserved well ahead for a six o'clock time. When we arrived the establishment did not appear to be busy at all. Accordingly we expected to be served in a reasonable amount of time. That did not turn out to be the case. A few members of our group received their order an hour later. Many of us were still waiting after eight o'clock. When one our our group expressed his concern to the manager he was simply told he could leave which he did. While we waited for our food we observed several groups who arrived after us and were served main courses desserts and beverages and left before we were even served. My meal arrived at eight forty and some others were even later. Most of us cancelled orders for desert and tea and coffee. Well after nine our dishes were not even cleared from the tables. Initially we received our bills which were replaced by a second bill with a "promo" discount. However, a "tip" of eighteen per cent was still added to our bills. What was most distressing was the lack of concern displayed by staff. I can understand the pressure of staffing shortages. However, limiting the number of patrons to the number which could be accommodated would ease the problem. My meal was quite good but very pricey and not substantial. To complete my evening I had dessert at home after ten o'clock because I was still hungry. I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future. I can find food of equality with better service for less elsewhere. I can not imagine not being concerned about having twenty-six unhappy customers leave a restaurant. but that appears to be the case.
We went to celebrate a milestone birthday this past week and we had a great experience. The server Steven was so nice and helpful. We were a party of 11 people. The food came out hot and on time. The calamari was delicious and the chicken parmesan was a big hit!! Thank you for accommodating our personal cake and thank you for great service. While the food and service was excellent, the pricing for some items was a bit high. Definitely recommend
It’s hard to get an authentic Italian taste right, but it’s another to do it in a vegan and plant based version. This is the first time in 4 years that I’ve had lasagna and was completely satisfied. The sauce was the perfect amount of taste, flavour and had the right kick to add with the lasagna.The tofu-based cheese was well textured and didn’t feel off like other plant based cheeses. Overall I am as satisfied as I could be.Next time around I will definitely add an appetizer to compliment the incredible meal I had. 10/10 service I forgot to mention!
