It is good to be close from my home town. But this store had lot of problems w pricing, weekly deal & old-fashioned slow-sloths at checkout. It should be clearly displayed to weekly deal pricing e.g. 2 for 1/discount only for the same or mix&match flavour. The staff/cashers should learn and train to apologize their interruption to customers.Check your receipt ALWAYS! But unfortunately they do not obey wrong price refund policy.
I had a terrible experience today at this location. I went in a rush to buy some groceries and there was a lot of people in the express line, we realized that the machine in the cashier was damaged. The kindly lady in the cash was so stressed, I was feeling bad for her. She was calling constantly to customer service and the nobody showed. She was overwhelmed with so many people in the line so she went to customer service, and guess what! The girl in customer service was hearing for the cashiers’ call all the time and never came. anyway, the lady from the cash told her the “machine is not working “ and the girl in customer service jut ignore her and told I I don't understand you what you are saying. I FELT SOO BAD! I can't believe how hostile is the environment for this people, what can we expect for this place if customer service is aggressive with their own employees.
I am currently a customer of Nofrils in Richmond Hill, at the intersection of Yonge St. and 16th Avenue.Last week, the price of unsweetened soy milk was $3.79, and the price at casher machine was $4.29. How come? I asked the cashier. She replied that she did not know. The manager was called. We waited for a while, but no one showed up, so I saw that it was not worth it for a few cents, so I said OK. and I got it.A week later, today 2022-05-19 at 10 am, I saw this story again. I asked from cashier why is that? "I don't know," she replied. I had taken a picture with my cell phone before and I showed her the picture. She called the manager. A woman arrived. Looking at the photo, she said that the barcode of this product belongs to another product. While the specifications and name are the same, the product is different. How come the price hasn't changed? Why didn't the price tag change? Why haven't they changed the label after a week? They should change it. It's prevent from people misunderstanding in shopping. Everyone does not have time to compare the barcodes. Finally, she told me "we do not have time to change sales tag. That's what it is. If you do not want to buy, do not buy". And she went.
I always try to shop at no frills for the value, I found this location to be a good size with a lot of selection! The shelves were well stocked and everything was neat and clean. This is one of the nicest no frills I've visited.
It’s ridiculous store as a result of ridiculous owner Enzo Tatangelo since 2002!Old school management is relaying on opening just a few cash registers.Long customer lines, empty shelves, nobody cares to order necessities.Management style is: Who cares! Old not updated school of ruling! It’s shame! Why no access to self-payment cash registers???Other No frills locations at the Promenade as well at Rutherford/Dufferin are absolutely competitive with great team, smart management, full shaves of merchandise.
Clean, spacious, with good quality produce and variety of products. This No Frills has been actively invested in over the past five years of me shopping here with improved layout, clean and well maintained trolleys and baskets, self checkout.Few issues noticed is that staff sometimes non-compliant with mask use, wearing it around their chin. This is especially prevalent when restocking food. In addition, price match is hit or miss with some cashiers insisting the flyer picture must match exactly to the item even if the item description matches.
At checkout, the item I purchased was for $ 2.00 but it scanned at $3.49This item should have been given to me for free as per company policy but the supervisor on duty was absolutely rude, uncouth and disrespectful. The supervisor was on duty at 4:30 p.m. on January 22, 2022. How she became the Supervisor is beyond me. Do the employees not take customer service training???It is not about the $ but a matter of principle. The item should have been given for free.I feel sorry for the cashier who was traumatized by her supervisors behavior. This would never happen at Carlos No Frills!
This is my first time trying no frills grocery pick up and it will be my last time. They gave me cheese that was expiring the next day and half of the items I ordered were out of stock. This is a self-served pick up location, and the instruction was confusing and disastrous. The labels on the fridges and pantries were completely incorrect. They use different naming conventions in the pick up instructions than the actual names of the fridge/pantry. They were also not placed correctly as per the instructions. For example, something in the “left door of fridge1” was actually in the “right door of fridge A”. I had to open every single fridges and pantries and look through every bag to find my stuff. This was a total waste of $3 “convenient fee” for grocery pick up.
Great grocery store! It doesn't feel like other No Frills stores! Clean, spacious, fresh produce and great variety. I like the butcher shop and the fish section. If they would have a deli section for cold cuts and cheese...it wouldn't be a No Frills anymore ?
Visited the store to get just a few items an hour or so before closure. Huge lineups at the cash registers, cashiers doing almost nothing - waiting for something or someone, talking to each other, lines not moving for 15 minutes. Express lane was closed, though there were three associates there - two were joyfully talking to each other, the third one was wiping the belt in the next lane for 10 minutes or so. In response to my question what's going on, why people are waiting, lines not moving, customers served at leisure, I received a legit explanation from the express lane attendant that their shift was already over, they do not have to work anymore and were just hanging out there, that I should not complain and patiently wait. Terrible attitude. Will drive to Dufferin/Rutherford No Frills next time - at least they have self-scan checkout there.
