We were so excited to visit Duo Cafe for their famous pastries. It was such a nice cafe. The ambiance and food was super. We arrived around 2:00pm for afternoon tea and many items were sold out. Luckily, we were still able to pick something that we like. If you want more selection, you better go early. Everything we order tasted delicious and fresh. It would be great if we can have more time to enjoy our food and chat with our friends. They close at 4:00pm daily so it was quite rushed to meet for afternoon tea. I think having lunch there maybe a better idea cause you get more time. Otherwise, our overall experience was pleasant. We look forward to go back again & try other items (sandwich and soft served ice cream) next time.

Excellent bakery and coffee. Only problem is that they are sold out too early. I wish they would make another batch in the afternoon on weekends. Also they only sell ice cream cakes at this location.

Finally tried their ice cream cake and pastries and it was totally worth getting up early and driving 40 mins! I ordered Mona the dark chocolate cake and it is totally beyond my expectation. It has four layers inside and I like the combination of rich dark chocolate with sour and fresh lemon cream in between. For pastries, i like the matcha book, chestnut tart and plum danish. Will need to try other flavors of the cakes.

This is one of my favourite cafés uptown! They have amazing craftsmanship and quality pastries. I love that this spot has a lot of savoury and sweet options including traditional French pastries and those with an Asian twist. They also have gourmet ice cream cakes which are beautiful with balanced flavours which are not too sweet. The space is bright and spacious. I recommend the chestnut tart and mushroom bechamel focaccia!

We got their almond croissant and vanilla custard with hazelnut latte and black sesame latte. Great food no compliants. Decor was on point and loved it besides the food.

I always passed by 16th but never noticed this place was so close to the 16th.The desserts looked good so we grabbed a box of pastries and few cookies to try. I slightly reheated pastries in toast oven and it tasted good as freshly baked ones.I want to try dine in next time and few other ones like ice cream.

An amazing place to hang out and have coffee. Their baked goods don’t need any introduction. Their black sesame latte is perfect and so is their pudding.

There is no better way to start a day than breaking into the best, freshly baked croissants. Duo cafe is the second outpost of their patisserie in Richmond Hill. This location is much larger and has slightly different offerings than their Commerce Valley location. Here you'll find plenty of sweet and savoury options. This location specializes in frozen desserts such as soft serve ice cream with rotating flavours, take home pints as well as ice cream cakes for those special occasions.Upon entering you'll instantly smell the freshly baked pastries. They have a large display of pastries, macarons, sandwiches and more. There's a lot a variety of goodies that are great as gifts. I've heard good things about their croissants and had to try it myself. The croissants have a golden sheen with crisp exteriors and a soft and fluffy interior. Not to mention it's quite buttery. I also tried got a bichon which is a flaky pastry with lemon cream. Similarly to their croissants, the bichon is buttery but is balanced out with the lemon cream, adding just the perfect amount of brightness and zing to start your day. But the real reason why I came here was to try their strawberry oolong ice cream. I was a little disappointed mine came out a little lopsided. Taste wise I felt I tasted more strawberry than oolong, but the strawberry flavour wasn't as strong as I had hoped so I'd stick with their baked goods instead. If this place isn't already on your radar, you should definitely check it out. Come early as they do sell out quickly.

We loved the chestnut & vanilla twist soft serve! We went back to get another one right away! We also loved the chestnut tart! Chestnut cream(like Mont blanc) and lots of pieces of chestnut inside! We love that better than their mont blanc! The cafe inside is bright, clean, stylish and nice atmosphere! Thank you!
