I’ve been here a few times and every time the experience is perfect. It’s usually pretty full but we get seated quickly. The servers are very nice and give good recommendations for meat and sauce, etc.. Tried the regular tonkatsu with red sauce and the fried cheese… both were delicious. Looking forward to coming again and trying something new!
Came here for the first time. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Customer service was very good. Food tasted good and was well presented. Overall a great place to eat at!!!
This is my first visit. The service is amazing. They recommend the sauce selection in which they are the perfect match! I am stunned by the quality of the Katsu. With my experience as Katsu lover, I would say it is very very very close to domestic top Japan restaurant quality. Due to cost increase, they did not make tenderloin Katsu anymore! I wish they can make it as a daily limited supply dish. During pandemic, we cannot go to visit Japan. This restaurant is a perfect substitute. According to the staff, those breads are used to make bread crumbs by themselves. Wow! The sauces are excellent pairing with the Katsu.
We ordered brown sauce cheese brick(with pork) and Yuzu sauce fish katsu~ the presentation was outstanding and the taste was fine too~ the fish dish(yuzu sauce)was a little too salty for me, though. The sauce could have been lighter, I like how they put a lot of shredded cabbage on the top to balance the flavour~ The cheese in the "brick" was rich and you can make about 1 meter long string out of it without breaking, that's was unusual for us to see~
Great discovery..delicious food and a very hospitable feeling. Loved it when Chef Irene came out with our dishes to explain the sauces to my mom and I..Thanks Chef Irene, your smile radiated through your mask! Next visit will be to see you smile..:)
I'm never disappointed when I dine at Cotolet. Great service, great presentation, and of course, great food. The service is really exceptional here. The servers checked on our table multiple times and were always around if we needed anything. It was my first time trying their cream sauce based tonkatsu and it was pretty good!
The yuzu miso sauce and seafood spicy sauce are really good and exceeded my expectation. However, it would be great if they can use a thicker pork chop for Brick Cheese. I can barely taste the meat in that dish. But in general, it's a really good dish.
Wonderful tonkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant. Nice, modern decor and friendly staff.The pork loin katsu is superb. Juicy, tender and the breading is perfectly light and crispy. The oil smell and presence is minimal, and the portions are on the larger side.I got the yuzu flavoured sauce and it was a nice blend of tangy and sweet.The price is also very reasonable given the quality and portion.I'm very happy that this restaurant opened here, as there are not many restaurants of this kind in the area. Will definitely be back soon!
Cozy and clean environment. Excellent customer service! Beautiful presentation, crispy chicken and pork cutlet with juicy and tender meat. The Cotolet’s house sauce made with various vegetables and fruits & Basic traditional Japanese style sauce were so good, perfectly match the dishes. Just personal preference that the music is a little bit too loud but did not affect the overall rating to the restaurant. Highly recommended and will be back for sure ??
SO SO GOOD. Amazing flavours, very fresh and the sweetest staff. We had the red sauce and yuzu miso katsu, as well as the takoyaki and okonomiyaki. Everything was incredible and we will definitely be back.
