Chimax deserves a 5/5 when you dine in; the fried chicken is crispy and the different sauces are all tasty. Their non-chicken dishes are questionable, but that's the case for most fried chicken restaurants. The real disappointment is their takeout: I ordered a full chicken to go, and the serving size is comparable to their dine-in's half chicken, which makes absolutely no sense. They get a 2.5/5 for their takeout, so give them a shot if you're willing to sit down at their restaurant; it's not greasy, and much friendlier than most chicken joints.
So glad another Korean place opened up in the area! This Korean Fried Chicken is amazing! Love the flavour choices. We tried the Soy Garlic Pepper and Golden Cheddar Cheese and they were tasted great. We did take out and would love to dine in to be as close to the kitchen to mouth experience.
Wow! Wanted to try this place when I heard it opened up. Fantastic chicken. I recommend getting the boneless though as the meat can get messy and it is easier to eat. The flavours were delicious. We got the Korean Spicy Chicken and the Soy Garlic Pepper Chicken. Delicious!
I really love their boneless soy garlic pepper chicken. It was super crispy on the outside but still juicy and tender inside! They have amazing food and service so definitely be sure to check them out! Instagram @kellychows for more!
Chimax is Richmond Hill's newest spot for Korean fried chicken!We tried the Soy Garlic Pepper Whole Chicken and really enjoyed it! The chicken itself was very hot and crispy, yet tender and juicy, while the flavour had a good balance of exactly what the name suggests. Note that the green peppers are not bell peppers, but are spicy peppers (if you can't eat spicy foods, just avoid biting the pepper pieces and you should be fine -- the chicken itself wasn't really spicy). The portion size was pretty big -- we both left feeling full and still had ~4 big pcs to bring home for later. Aside from the food, we also found the ambiance during the day to be very pleasant. On top of it all, the service was great, and the staff were all very friendly!**We were invited to try their fried chicken; however, the opinions expressed are our own.**

But the texture is fried nicely.The original Crispy Wing was a bit bland for me. We did ask for the Creamy Sauce but it was sold out.Overall I enjoyed my experience here but I did expect the flavours to be stronger for Korean Fried Chickens.

They're new with only 8 reviews and I read through all the reviews and it seemed really good so I knew I had to try. I came in with high expectations and they did not disappoint!! We called in advance to pick up, takes about 30 mins. They currently have a grand opening [PROMO] - BOGO deal on the wings & fries deal.What we ordered:[half chicken - Soy Garlic Pepper] This is our absolute favourite flavour, highly recommend this flavour. It is so well seasoned inside and out unlike a lot of places that only coat the outside so you're left with bland chicken meat after you've eating the skin off! Bursting with soy garlic flavour in every bite with the perfect kick of spice from the peppers.[half chicken - Korean Spicy] This one was good, it tasted like sweet gochujang. Not as spicy as we were expecting though.[chicken wings & fries - golden cheese] This had a really sweet taste to it with sprinkles of cheddar cheese on top. We love that it came with fries. The fries are Costco fries which we love.Even though we ordered for take out and brought it home, the chicken was still crispy and juicy! Highly recommend everyone to check this place out.
Visited for the first time, and would definitely come back. Chicken is very fresh and the atmosphere is amazing. If you live around Richmond Hill, I strongly recommend this place!!

I ordered the soy garlic pepper fried crispy chicken, the chicken was super crunchy outside and full of flavours inside, not over-seasoning perfect pairing with soju.
