Great little HK Style Cafe for in dining or takeout. Right now during pandemic they have it closed off for customers for dine in. Great selection of foods and good lunch and afternoon tea deals on their menu. The pricing is very reasonable compared to larger restaurants. I ordered the deep fried pork chop with salt and pepper, the famous sweet and sour pork and my favourite bean curb with Chinese mushroom, corn, carrots and veggie. Excellent value for dinner we got a surprise soup and dessert.
Takeout only for now during the pandemic. I love coming here for takeout. I call ahead and the lady is always very friendly and nice and polite even though I’m slow to communicate with her sometimes and a few times I took a while and went back and forth deciding my order too. Props to her. I always tip extra because they deserve it.Lunch comes with drink and soup. Dinner comes with soup and dessert. They always have good soup and good dessert too. Highly recommend this place.
One of my favourite restaurant when I was a student at Bayview Secondary School. Three times per week, no kidding?
This small little HK cafe, was my husbands go to during his high school days, he always raves about this place, at first I never really understood what was so special about it, I've tried a few dishes and nothing really blew me away until I tried their Baked Cheese Spaghetti. Unlike traditional Italian spaghetti this was more on the sweet side (but not as sweet as filipino style spag). It reminded me of home, and how my mom use to make spaghetti for us growing up. I always thought my mom just didn't know how to cook proper Italian spag, but I realize this is the HK style spag and honestly, I think I prefer HK style spag over Italian spag (dont come for me - sorry!) I love that its affordable and comes with soup and a drink choice during lunch. My husbands favourite dish is the beef & bitter melon rice. This place is fairly small, and they tend to get busy, so be prepared to be sitting with strangers. It's also a cash out establishment!
This place is going to be one of my go-to Cantonese restaurants I’ll go. Lots of great selections, food is fairly quick & the portion is great for what anyone will purchase. On top of that, the people working there are so nice to talk to. Their sweet & sour chicken with their house special fried rice was very pleasing to eat. Will happily come again very soon.
DO NOT order Portuguese style baked chicken on rice here! Seriously, who put PINEAPPLES in Portuguese style baked chicken?!!?I'm willing to try other dishes next time I visit
Tasty. Order was accurate. Food was ready in 15 minutes. Quite an extensive menu.
Horrible food. I ordered pork lomein it was horrible. I also got a soup with it that smelled bad and I ordered a chicken corn soup that tasted really bad as well I ended up throwing everything in the garbage and not eating it that's how bad it was.. Waste of money and food.
Light entrée. Like the suggestion to replace when there’s the same vegetables in different entree. Little bit less portion than I expected.
During covid they're particularly paranoid - besides usual plexiglass & partition, you get your change yourself & they handle your money with tongs (and presumably sterilise it after you hand it over)
