High quality Japanese sushi and sashimi platters. Prices are reasonable. Easy order process and orders are reasonably on time.
As a former loyal customer, I used to order platters for family gatherings and even a platter for myself to enjoy after a long day at work.. but I stopped after finding bones in the salmon and hard pieces of rice.Decided to try out AiSushi again after a few years to see if the quality has improved.. and I’m sad to say it got worse lol…I couldn’t even finish my deluxe kaisendon. Sure, it looks nice.. but the fish didn’t taste fresh and I had an awful fishy aftertaste in my mouth. The shrimp tasted.. nasty. The squid had a grimy film on it. I didn’t even like the mushrooms. Idk man. I’ve never left a sushi dish unfinished. The only thing I liked in this was the bean curd.Sorry. I tried. I will not be returning.
This used to be our go to for their platters... it was tasty and amazing value but the last 3 visits (yes, we gave it a few chances!) were all pretty bad. The rice tasted off and hard and the fish didn't taste fresh. So sad because this place was like a rare gem to us.
Always my go-to sushi spot uptown for take-out. The type of fish and value is good, but sometimes the quality of the rolls is not the best and falls apart. But otherwise their variety and party trays are great
My go to takeout sushi spot in the GTA. Hands down. One of the best tasting salmon sushi (and thickest) available because it’s the belly part. Really great value. Efficient and quick service.
Let me start off by saying that if this was a year ago, they would be getting a 5 star review. I personally love AI sushi, and I use to have it once a week.Recently, the quality hasn't been there. We would make a call about 2 hours before we desire to have it picked up (because they are so busy), but now it almost feels like they make the sushi right away and leave it in the fridge. So by the time we get the order, the sushi is super cold and the rice is hard. Our last order was also missing the Panco bits on the top of one of the rolls. It's been super disappointing lately. I think they've turned into one of those places that prefer volume over delivering quality.Still a good sushi place if it's done right...
This place used to be reliable & cheap. The past few times (at least 5-6 times now) the quality of the fish and roll has gone down severely. We’ve also had at least 3 experiences where they couldn’t find our order and had to wait for them to make the platter quickly, giving us a really rushed and messy looking platter. Overall I’d recommend HUG sushi or somewhere else because Ai Sushi doesn’t seem to care anymore
Last minute take out idea on Wednesday late afternoon. We can pick up the food in less than one hour. Ordered their 100 pieces sushi & sashimi combo. Price was very reasonable. Service & Food were good.
Loved the 100 pc tray i bought for my birthday. My family had a great time devouring every piece. Everything tasted fresh and they even added extra garlic, and spicy mayo! 5 stars. Well done. Will be ordering again sometime soon.
Was recommended to come here for takeout platter. When we arrived it was busy and all the staff were busy, so I had even higher hopes that it would taste really good. The moment I was handed the platter, I immediately got a little disappointed, the weight didn't feel right for a 60pc sashimi, sushi, roll platter, it was light (almosy half the weight of the place I love). When I got home and opened the platter, I saw the sizes of the rolls, definitely on the smaller side. The sashimi isn't as fresh as I would like and it was somewhat mushy. The fish cleaning and slicing skill can be improved. The rice of the sushi/rolls weren't properly prepared and molded/rolled, so the rice tasted bland and falls apart. Won't be going back. Saw on their online menu they have dine in ayce and immediately I understood, their food quality matches ayce quality. This isn't a place that shouldn't be visited, but, quality can definitely be improved.
