First time here. Love the 50s style booths and vintage photos. The food was prepared well and it was fresh and tasty. I will be coming back
This place doesn't even deserve a star to be honest. Once upon a time this was a popular friendly place that appreciated the business and the customer service was incredible. Now you wait for them to open then wait to be served and thefoid is a disappointment compared to what it once was. Many other places in the area that open promptly, greet you with a smile and the food is is great
Fr. Chris of St. Bernadette's mentioned this diner - so we thought we might try it out. I ordered a meal which included home-made fries and toast. The waitress said that it costs extra, even though the menu says otherwise. So I said OK - I'll order some fries on the side. She says that's $2 extra. I said OK. Next thing you know - she comes back to my table and says it's actually $5 extra! My wife asked for a menu and showed how it's supposed to be included in the dinner.. but the waitress says, sorry you have to pay extra. I said forget it! This place was once hopping with clients - but not any more & it's no surprise. Two words - no good!
Super busy place. Good food though. There was a it of an argument with the cook and some customers. He handled it quietly and dignified.
Decent prices and decent food. Staff in the back as well as the front are a bit slow and non-attentive. Would visit again with limited options.
Way cooler on the inside than you can tell from looking at the outside, this is a retro 50's style diner. The menu was good and the price right for the breakfast I had there. Will go again for sure.
Visited this diner on Sunday May 22nd, I have to say for a local place they truly do not care about their patrons.Over 25 mins for a glass of apple juice. She forgot to put in 2/3 orders and said “oh I forgot” never brought over coffee refills. Thankfully the owner was so warm and apologetic. We insisted to pay for the coffe and food we received but he said no, it was their fault. I don’t know how you could forget to put in an order for 2/3 meals when we ordered together. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. We told patrons that were entering as we left to save their time and money go somewhere which would actually aid to their needs. My father is a diabetic and making him wait over 1 hour when he’s already hungry isn’t ideal for him. Very sad experience. Also, the chairs are duct taped up. Leaves for a very uncomfortable visit.I can see why there was a fight with other staff as we walked in. This place leaves a lot to be desired.
I came in here a few days ago on Tuesday to try out a new breakfast place and I was extremely satisfied with the food and service. I ordered a classic 2 egg breakfast and so surprised with the quality and amount of food I received for the stellar prices they offer it for. As well, the service was great, the server was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Great food and a great atmosphere! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Food is fresh and there is so much on the menu to choose from. If you like crispy home fries make sure to get them deep fried… the seasoning they use is also so delicious! They have a healthy choices menu as well which I haven’t seen at any other breakfast place. Definitely give that 50’s Diner a try!
Have been here repeatedly for the past few weeks and each time has been exceptional! The food is always freshly made and the two Saturday servers are amazing every time with quick, friendly and helpful service. Despite the pandemic struggles, prices are more than reasonable and I highly recommend this restaurant for a family breakfast!
