Definitely different packaging, since I bought two to take home, they were mushed by the time I arrived home, where as the box that it used to come in would protect this delicious sandwich. And then no pickle was provided! I am disappointed that this change came as a shock. Since I bought take out, I only was able to see this when I got home. Please advertise any changes: i.e. that you are using new packaging, making the "BIG" Mary "smaller" and no longer including the signature pickle on top.
I daresay... Better than Popeyes (which I used to think was the best fast-food fried chicken). Really good! Really fresh, not as greasy, and more flavour.Also their Caramilk cake dessert (pre-packaged) is amazing!!!
One of my favourite fried chicken franchises but holy, this location has absolutely no care in their sandwiches. I honestly believe they smash their sandwiches with a rolling pin before they put it in the bag. Even the pickle wanted to jump ship when I opened the wrapper today. Let's hope management can trim the fat from this location ASAP because most say third time's a charm but I'm slowly losing faith in Mary Browns. Highly debating giving money to the Swiss Chalet across town instead. YIKES Mary Browns!! Pull yourself together!!!
A brand new loaction at Markham. Not busy when I visit. Staff is friend. Food serves fast. Parking is good.
Waited yesterday for at least 25mins for our lunch.. Only thing good about it was our chicken was fresh off the fryer but taters and poutine was stale. I hope this is not a norm for this place.
We passed by Mary Brown’s for take out. The service was quick and no need to queue up around 5:00pm. We ordered two Original Sidekick Sandwiches from their Snack Menu for $6.99 and one 3Pcs Chicken without combo. The food quality was ok but the Sidekick Sandwiches were really small (size of my palm only). I guess that’s what you get for that price. It was from their snack menu so that’s the size of a snack and should not expect too much.
Ordered all spicy dark meat. Great chicken.
Although the location is pretty busy during the lunch rush, the service seems pretty fast and well organized.Staff seems friendly as well. Now that they have an outdoor area during the summer, I think they could do better by cleaning the outdoor tables more often.
August 2021. 3.5★ Fried chicken is aways good. This site opened a few months ago and recently had their opening ceremony by throwing a two pieces of chicken (dark meat) and taters (potatoe wedges) for $3.99 not a bad deal, but I've found recently that the chicken has gotten smaller. Still good for this value. Store is fairly big and clean. The plaza itself is only about a year old. Ample parking.
