I am not crazy that they are still attached to Joe Fresh and all the labour controversies that brings, and they haven't had the highest or longest pandemic pay for their frontline workers.Having said all that, I will give them credit for having an excellent selection of products across the spectrum. I have enjoyed more gluten and dairy free waffles, bread, burgers, etc. here than almost any other grocery store in Durham Region.
I go here primarily for the ready to go meals as I'm in the area for work. quality food and decent prices. very clean store
No real logic to the layout, more footage to Joe Fresh and non food products so you have to walk all around the store to get from veg to dairy sections. Prices are way higher for fresh produce, prepared food and dairy than Farm Boy across the street
You could live in this store. Very clean, organized, and everything you need, including a bathroom and a walk-in clinic on the 2nd floor. Well, how about that? Anyway, there is something even better: Maple-Soy Cedar Planked Salmon (frozen). Just follow the instructions on the package. It will work beautifully, and it tastes so amazing. Salty umami and sweet maple, with a nice fish too! Really, really good! Just drive down to your local Loblaws and get it! I am going to bring some on our camping trip this summer, because I think that the cedar plank approach will be campfire genius!
This Loblaws, is very clean, the staff is friendly and willing to help out. Lots of sale items, their meat section is fantastic.
This place is the worst grocery store ever. I went in to get some produce and asked for clementines guy said it is in the back but he busy working the load couldn’t even take time to get some for me plus always out of stock on main items and sale items, also, I asked to speak to a manger and what is the response “there is no manager on duty at the time”. How can you have not one person in charged? I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone.
I visited the Garden Centre which was very well stocked and plants were healthy and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful and loaded up my car for me. Great place to shop
I always visit this location for nice fresh salmon. Customer service needs improvement. The staff will look straight at you when are wandering aimlessly and will not offer any assistance.
Absolutely shocking & disgusting display of customer service & highest management. By the closing MOD. Her name apparently is Jazelle/Jizelle (I do not know how to pronounce it). I walked into the building not knowing it was closed. (May 8th 2022).She walks up to me and says “are you on the night crew?” I said no. She then says “we’ll you need to get out of the building then”. I said “okay. I didn’t know, but you shouldn’t speak to guests that way. It’s very rude and is terrible customer service”. Her response was “well we’ve been tryna get people out for over 10 minutes now.”She then rolled her eyes at me. Then flicked her hand and wrist at me while saying “okay yeah whatever. You need to leave. Goodnight” as if I’m some peasant to be sent away. While doing this she is also walking away from me and not even looking at me until we flicked her hand wrist.I didn’t trust her so I asked another employee what her name was. And then shouted her name at me while she was standing 10FT away. Infront of other guests that were there to buy things. I said to her “you need to learn how to speak to people let alone guests. You are a joke and how spoke to me was rude & disgusting.“I will be coming back to speak to the store manager. And if nothing is done. Then I’ll be calling into head office.
I like this location a lot, very clean inside and usually has a lot of items in stock. Their home section usually has some good clearance or last season sales so it's definitely worth a gander. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because there seems to be one employee who works the self-checkout line, who seems to have a little chip on her shoulder. She just comes off a little rough around the edges. For example, when we called for help, she just stood in front of us and stared at us for 10 seconds before eventually saying "i can't get in there if you're in the way". For the record, we gave her a lot of space to get in, we just didn't know what she wanted when she was just standing there like a broken radio tower unable to communicate.
