I wanted to leave a really great review as I'm a huge BBQ enthusiast however I was very disappointed with the quality of the meat in both my brisket sandwich and my brisket dinner... I enjoy some barbecued fat along with my meat but unfortunately the ratios were way off today the brisket was at least 70% fat... Mashed potato was also painfully lumpy and although I like a rustic mashed potato this one felt gritty in the mouth... the french fries with the sandwich were absolutely inedible by the time they arrived... and of course Uber eats did nothing when I flagged this. Suggest you need to vent your french fries and fried items so that they are not a soggy mess when they arrive. Just put some holes in the top of the container... it seems to work for everyone else. Also the mashed potato, gravy, barbecue sauce and brisket placed in the same container is a messy soup by the time it arrives. I'm sure it's not the effect you were going for.
Have ordered the wings before, so good. Today, ordered at 11am for a 4:30pm. Went to pick up, they said 15minutes. An hour later of waiting inside, cook comes out to address our questions (to put it nicely), says it will be another 5 minutes. Heads back to kitchen and says "drop 6 orders of wings... THEY HADN'T EVEN STARTED!!!! Too many other places to spend my $100.Refunded my prepaid order.
So don't get me wrong, the food is great. And by no fault of the restaurant my wife had a moderate allergic reaction. The reason for only 2 stars is that when I inquired for the ingredients used my wife's meal so we could figure out what caused it, they said they would email me w them no problem. Two weeks go by and no email so I call again and talk to a manager. He assured me that they would have the ingredients to me quickly. Well were 6 weeks from when my wife had the reaction and I've yet to get that email. Is what it is, but I won't be going back.
Daaaaaamn gooooooood!!! One of the best BBQ places to go to and just inside Pickering! Great prices, loads of food! Nice people there. We go often enough whenever the craving hits us. We did the two pigs and a cow sandwich, the 3 loaded tacos and the beef brisket poutine. Deeeeeestroyed all of it!!! Taste is just divine!! Nothing dry or hard at all! Texture, quality, amounts.... All good!!! We'll be back for sure!!!
Got the 1/4 chicken dinner and it was so good! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. I opted for no BBQ sauce and the seasoning on it was really good. It was a bit of an unexpectedly long wait as they made it fresh, but without even asking or complaining I was offered complimentary corn bread. And oh my... that stuff is dangerous. The corn bread was SO GOOD. My only complaint really was that the woman working there was a bit rude while I was ordering my meal and said it would only be a few minutes to make. However like I mentioned the manager was so kind which made up for it!
Ordered some bbq for the Super BowlIt was yummy! Everything was good. The boneless bites were delicious. Only disappoint was our Caesar salad had no bacon as advertised.We’ll be back
Ordered a platter that's supposedly feeds 3-5 people... It's supposed to come with 2 medium sides but the "medium" Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes would be comparable to an individual size to most bbq places. The picture shows it all and I placed the sauce container beside it for reference. We now have to play rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to eat the Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes... Oh and there are only 7 wings so if this feeds 5 people it means 1 wing each and then a fight to death for the last two...The meat is decent, nicely cooked but if you're going to order here know that the side portions are tiny so you'll likely have to order more to feed your group.
I went here yesterday. I got the “can’t decide” sandwich, which is pulled pork and beef brisket on a bun with your choice of BBQ sauce. Oh man, this sandwich was so delicious. Solid portion of meat and the sauce was so tasty. Guy was nice and friendly too. Highly recommend this place.
Just picked up some brisket today for game day. First time trying, and it was amazing. Super flavorful and tender authentic Texan style brisket. Their sauce is also outstanding and paired great with the brisket. Next time I'll be trying the ribs as well.
A little place that puts out great finger licking food! We had the Little Dawg” feeds 2-3 people. But we took enough home for 2 people!! Amazing staff, great sense of humour! This place is a diamond in the rough!
