I was really looking forward to dining at Chuuk, but was very disappointed in my experience. The guac was extremely salty, and needed plenty of water to be washed down. I also ordered the fish tacos which after a single bite I noticed they were cold and also found a hair in the food. I was hesitant to say anything, but ultimately flagged down our waitress to let her know discreetly. The restaurant replaced my meal but I was already pretty turned off at that point. I didn’t enjoy the replacement, but at least the second pair of tacos were warm. I expected a manager to come out and apologize at the very least but that did not happen. Only good thing about this restaurant is the ambiance- truly a beautiful restaurant. Just wish the food matched the decor. Will not be returning.

We were over from the UK visiting family in Canada last month and they took us here. Wow, what a treat. Everything about it - the service, the drinks and especially the food - was top notch. Smallish menu - always a good sign. Everything cooked with such care and clearly with very fresh ingredients. There were a lot of us so we took the long high table and it was ideal. If we'd had the time, we'd have come for a second visit! A memorable evening - thank you so much!

Customer service was really nice but this place is expensive! $13 for a drink!!! We order Guac and chips for app. Fish and beef tacos and grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. Food was tasty but for the price this is a place for only those special occasions. Portions wernt that generous also. Be prepared.

Chris was helpful and welcoming. Maddy was a great waitress. We enjoyed our first time there. ??

Food is not particularly good. Birria was good, and the corn and chips taste better the more you eat it weirdly enough. Place is noisy and busy. Many people and loud music playing. I went on a Saturday evening so maybe I did it to myself? Lol. Not my vibe though at the end of the day. You have a hard time hearing the people you came with and/or the server. Wouldn’t go again personally. Mediocre food and high prices but the person I went with would go again and liked it so to each his own. Lastly the service was top notch 10/10. I felt very taken care of and the food came in a timely manner.

Overall. A great experience was had today for an after recital lunch for our family of 4. We had the street corn, pink jaguar, baja tacos and achiote chicken, chips and an extra order of plantains. Loved the food and drinks! Delicious and flavourful. Decor and vibe is lovely. Hostesses were so sweet to indulge my toddlerWearing full makeup and costume. My only feedback was the restaurant had about 6-7 tables inside that were serving patrons and they sort of crammed everyone in toward the bathrooms. It felt a little too close- we had to rearrange a few chairs to get our single stroller to the table. We were tucked away in a little corner and it was a bit dark. Nonetheless it was a great meal. Kids menu could be expanded since there’s only one option. We will be back sans kids for a date night.

Great food, excellent service

This is my 2nd time at Chúuk and while the food is innovative and delicious the service this time was friendly and nothing more. Service was slow and confused. The place was not crowded and although we were a party of 8 our orders were simple. I won’t mention the server by name because she was sweet and I could see she was trying. Perhaps one person taking drink orders and another taking food orders might help. I’ll definitely come back because the food is so good but I hope for better management of flow from the kitchen and bar to the table!

I’ve been here many times with family, friends and business associates. It’s a great spot, with great service. The food is pretty good as well. I don’t drink, however many people I’ve gone there with rave about the margaritas

Nice restaurant in an unassuming location. I was surprised at the vibe and how many people were here during a week day lunch. Music was great. Location and decor was nice gave a very latino vibe. Staff was friendly and service was quick.I was with a group of 4. Menu is a bit small to choose from but we wanted tacos so that’s what we came for. In house ground taco shells are super soft. We tried chicken, beef and fish tacos. Presentation was impeccable. Please note I am not giving a bad review but these are my thoughts. Taco shell - super soft and thin, but with toppings it broke apart really easily, typically with this shells like this you would serve 2 just to hold it better. The meat and chicken tacos and shredded- flavourful for sure but I think for me was a bit dry. The chicken taco had refried beans which I normally love but would have used more salt in the beans and less in the meat. The hot sauce is a must to amp up the flavour. Probably the fish taco was the most disappointing although it looked the best. Crunchy batter but maybe they forgot the salt it was beyond bland. Which was too bad. Dessert we ordered the churros and we’re not disappointed this was the best I have tasted in a long time. So even though the tacos were ok the dessert made the meal.Overall I liked the restaurant. It’s a tiny bit pricy for lunch but maybe if I was going for a dinner the price is worth it. I realize everyone’s palmettes are different for me this was good I am sure others will say it’s amazing. I don’t mind going again and if I wanted to splurge the octopus sounds amazing. Next time.
