The thing is that the attention wasn't good, there was an issue with my appetizer and they did nothing and even to bring the check they took a lot of time.
Firstly, I enjoy Chucks Roadhouse. I go there when I want to get a decent steak and half price apps after 9pm and watch some sports. Great value and bang for your buck…. Usually.Tonight, I wanted to enjoy a steak after a round of golf and enjoy the all star game. Everything was normal. Good vibe, wings were good, crowd was good our servers were nice. Everything was good until the steak came. It was a bit dark, so it took a few bites to realize my ribeye steak wasn’t medium rare like I always get. My friend’s ribeye was perfect: slightly charred and a nice bright pink in the middle. Mine was not charred much at all and the middle was an even greyish-pink throughout.I asked our server to confirm if she saw what I saw. To my disappointment she didnt really seem to see the difference. She awkwardly checked to see what she punched in for the order but didn’t say much after checking. To be honest I started to feel bad that my order was cooked incorrectly. I’m not sure if servers get in trouble for incorrect orders but it almost seemed like she didn’t want to correct my order. Or even worse, I wondered if Chucks Roadhouse doesn’t train their servers to immediately correct any incorrect meals for fear of having to write off and “waste” a steak from their inventory. Most decent restaurants usually have a policy if your order is incorrect in any way they will fix it no questions asked.I didn’t feel like trying to push our server to want to correct the mistake and offer a new steak any longer and she promptly walked away once I said never mind forget about it. Needless to say I was disappointed through the remainder of my meal and we left before the all star game was over. She was a nice server, still left a tip but was left feeling like Chuck’s Roadhouse should implement a policy that if your meal is incorrect in any way they will replace it no problem. I had to give a rare 1-star for this visit.

Food tastes great, and the staff have been attentive. The real sell point for this spot are their daily specials, and most importantly, half off apps after 9 PM.There are plenty of app choices to choose from and I tend to feast on the wings, and cheesy fries until I'm full to my heart's content.While the quality of food might not be on par with your high end sports bars downtown, it's close enough, still delicious and less than half the price. With inflation as crazy as it is today, you can't ask for a better budget sports bar to have nearby.
My manager at work has always RAVED about Chuck's Roadhouse for months, especially for their steaks! So I thought to myself, "What a perfect day to try Chuck's on Mother's Day", since I couldn't get any reservations for other restaurants. So both my mom and I went on Sunday, May 8th around 1-15pm. I was really impressed from the moment I walked in to when we left! We didn't have to wait at all to be seated, our waiter was so positive and super helpful. His name is Brandon, so if you go... you won't be disappointed with his service! The food... aww man, the FOOD! I got the steak and lobster with onion rings on the side, and my mom got the famous "Chuck's Burger" with sweet potato fries as the side. Both meals was a good size portion and the price was so affordable. Plus, the wait time for our order was probably 10 minutes at most..? So, thank you to the chefs and staff for making our 1st impression a memorable one, definitely will recommend to family and friends! P.S, this won't be the last time will go to Chuck's haha. Cheers!
Good food but the staff is running lean.Bartender is serving the bar AND a section which impacts service.1 other server running the rest of the establishment on a night with a Leafs game on.I'm not a fan of the 3% surcharge and I tip 15% on top of that with the machine on top of taxes.This is pushing me more to stop tipping with the new minimum wage increase.
My husband and I always love to go for dinner here but was so not happy on our last visit. Our server came and took our drinks order and food. I wanted mashed potatoes or baked, she told me it was too early for that, it was served at 5pm, she can only offer fries but she will check, she never came back to tell me the out come, when the meal came it came with a small side of salad, which I had order as a start. The meal came after 5pm, I assume at that time the salad was my side...she never came back to ask if we need another drink. or how was the meal. The bill came and I was charged for the salad and never got a side with my meal. My biggest peeved was how indifferent and not cared a bit about my issue she seems. I wanted another drink but at this time was not happy with her attitude.
I think my husband and I have found our new favourite chain. We have tried the Whitby location and now this one. We both had burgers, it was delicious. Great prices!
Nice place to meet up with friends & family or just watch a game. Got a decent verity of food & drinks in their menu. Look out for their Happy Hours. We had a nice evening.
Server was nice and attentive. She got our orders right and also if there’s a long wait in the kitchen she would let us know roughly how long the wait is. My friends and I came during half price apps so we understood why the kitchen was backed up. She also made some good suggestions for drinks.
