I'm a little late writing this, but wanted all to know how fantastic this restaurant is! Heard rave reviews about the Liver dinner, but when I called, Goran advisd the restaurant wasn't going to be open that Tuesday - I explained I was from out of town & had tried last year too and Goran offered to make a special liver dinner for me to pick up even though it wasn't the usual day!!!! I took advantage of his offer and ordered 2 dinners (love liver & had heard nothing but good about Square Plates) and it was more than worth it! One dinner gave me 2 meals while I was on vacation & I froze the other & brought it home. Had the first of the 2 meals (servings are very generous) and it was as good if not better than the fresh dinners I'd had while away. Especially love that Goran offers both onion and bacon with the dinner!! Will most definitely be visiting Square Plates whenever I'm in Peterborough and will be trying dishes as well because if that one can be made so well, the other items must be equally as good!
Took a bike ride from Penetanguishene...read about this place.. one word AWESOME. The food and owner delivered a great lunch.

Always a treat every time I am at Square Plates, which is quite a bit. Whether it is for a hearty breakfast (any time of the day) or one Goran's amazing specials, this place knocks it out of the park. You can tell a lot of thought goes into their food, and their prices are more than fair.
This is the kind of restaurant where the owner remembers you when you come in and always treats you like a friend. The food is great (diner style) and the specials are never a disappointment.
Very happy with our lunch, fries are very good, club sandwich is very good. Real mayonnaise available on request. Free coffee refills. Small restaurant, with 30 or 40 seats.
We stopped by this gem today for lunch, and what a treat! The homemade burger was perfection! My burger loving son said it was the best he has had! The owner clearly takes pride in the quality of the food he serves. We will definitely return.
Service was fantastic, the food was delicious, portions were filling and the price was even better! Thank you for the hospitality. Definitely going to be coming here more often!
BEST LIVER AND ONIONS ANYWHERE!! 5 ? I love a good plate of liver. But I’m a bit picky because most places don’t know how to make it well. But a friend insisted this was the place to go, and he was right. I can honestly say that I have NEVER had better liver and onions anywhere, ever. Reserve ahead, because it’s only available Tuesdays, and the chef buys all his liver fresh that mornings.
