This business seems to actively not want my patronage. First we attempted to eat at the restaurant. Like idiots we went in the signed entrance where we were allowed to stand (at the wait here to be seated sign) for 5 minutes with servers giving us awkward looks until someone finally told us we actually had to enter through the pool hall. My pregnant partner and I were rudely told to sit at the bar until something had freed up after being ushered through the pool hall back into the same place we were attempting to go in the first place. The main doors were for delivery driver pickups we were told. A poorly written chalkboard sign below eye level was meant to direct customers wanting to go to Riley’s into the pool hall next door. Then on a second occasion we attempted to order food for pickup and were informed that they were not taking pickup orders. I guess I’d need to be a food delivery driver to get any kind of service here. I will not be attempting to give this restaurant my business again. What a terrible restaurant. Train your staff in customer service and think about the experience of your customer. Customers should not be kicked out and forced to go through a different entrance after waiting at a WAIT HERE sign. Have you given up on basic principles of customer service?
Very frustrated after leaving our lunch today. I went right at 12 to get in and get out so my kids weren’t disturbing afternoon rush. My son has a disability and going out in public is a new experience since he is a toddler and we just came out of a 2 year lock down!!! He wasn’t running around disturbing he stayed in his chair and our table area. Yes he could of been a little loud at times but we were distanced away from any other tables ( wasn’t busy ) Our waiter was unbelievably rude, never checked on us after serving the food. We needed refills never received them. Waited about 15 minutes after eating for our bill. He was standing at the bar made eye contact number of times he could of printed our bill out as he wasn’t busy with other tables. Dropped our bill off at the table and walked away. The machine wasn’t working an he was no where he found to fix it for me, so I just left cash when he appeared and didn’t even offer bring change back just assumed he was getting it as a tip. Honestly the tip that was left should of towards the kitchen staff. The food was amazing like always it is my favourite place to eat in town. But after todays experience It will be a while before I return again. P.s it’s March break expect families be out and about with children and enjoying the world again after 2 years !!!!!!
Great to be back out and enjoying life again and seeing businesses back to normal.We had the wings with Riley's sauce and it was amazing. It's all in the sauce. Also had the Married salad which I never had before and it was amazing too!After dinner we went to the other side to play some pool. Great place, great atmosphere equals a great time. Thanks Riley's foray great night out.By the way I'm from Toronto.
Great service...Mark was funny but he clocked off n it went to Justin...we didn't know till i said Mark had grown hair n asked what his secret was ? Awesome place, thanks guys! From a dad n 8 yo son in Kingston
What an amazing dinner out with my family this evening! The food was absolutely amazing but our server was really the best! He was incredibly attentive, kind and took great care of us! Even making sure he knew the easiest route out as it was very busy for my visually impaired son! Even the manager popped by to make sure everything was great! THIS is what we have been missing for two years!Thank you Riley's for a perfect night!See you again next time :)
Food is always delicious. Portions are large and costs are reasonable. Service was great, thanks to our server Justin Fox. Good experience!
It's a nice spot my friend from college and I met up there a couple times a year for four years now. The food is good and they have a pool hall on the other side of the building.
Delicious hamburgers on fresh buns. Ample quantities of fries. Service was prompt and accommodating. The menu is extensive and our group of six were all able to enjoy their favourite.
Great service, delicious craft beer on tap and amazing food. I had the curry chicken stir fry and it was spicy and awesome. One of the best Caesar salads as well. Definitely recommend
Amazing food ! Amazing service ! Our servers name was was Mark , he was so good with us , very attentive, nice big glasses of wine and our food was so good ! I had the wings and a Caesar salad and my sister had a chicken wrap . Such amazing food and the price is good too ! Thanks for a nice Saturday night !
