Friendly Staff and great history of its beginnings but, probably one of the worse fish and fish places I’ve been to in recent years. Fish was very oily and fries were dry when biting into them. This isn’t a big deal but other local places, for the same price, include a coke slaw which wasn’t offered.Overall-Not enjoyable and not good value for the price
Loved it ! Reasonably priced. Good quantity and tasty. We went there reading the good reviews for this place and were not disappointed. The people who served us were polite , attentive and friendly. If you are in the area and want to have good fish and chips…try this one.
Picked up dinner for takeout. I particularly like the Once Around the Kitchen and my husband enjoys the halibut. Lots of really good food..enough that I can easily share my chips so hubby only gets a single piece of fish and some of my chips. Always excellent!!
We went to this restaurant for an exploration and to support local independent businesses. The food and service were decent, but the battered fish was too dry. However the onion rings were surprisingly good.
I have been going here with my friends and family. Best fish and chips ever. Service is always great. Brian and Lisa always take good care of us highly recommend
Recently visited the Rubidge location and was not disappointed. Picked up the family special and portions were a good size. Fish was fresh and not greasy or overbattered. Chips were good - again, not at all greasy.I’d have to say this is the better of the 2 locations in Peterborough.
Maybe they were having an off night, but my first experience was disappointing. Fries were soggy and bad. Fish was mediocre, and they only give you those tiny pre-packaged tartar sauces.
Wow large orders! Had Halibut/ fries. So full. Fish and chips cooked to protection. Washrooms are down a flight of steps. Handrails on both sides. May be hard to get to if you have mobile problems.
Fries barely warm, batter on fish and onion rings very tough, but perhaps because they were almost cold. Will never order from there again, nor will I use doordash....not sure who was at fault for such a terrible $55 dinner for 2.
A wonderful local Fish & Chips place that was recently brought to my attention! It has become a favorite and a pleasure to see all the workers as they always have a fantastic attitude. Lots of fish options for anyone and can make anyone happy. Can't wait to go back!
